@Tri_Stanisaurus @macjshiggins @Kalshi Tbh the sphere display is pretty neat. The rest of it is dumb, also I can already imagine the drink names: an Irish carbomb renamed a 9/11, a death in the afternoon renamed Apocalypse Now, a Corpse Reviver no. 2 renamed Boston Dynamics, no original drinks. Just renamed.

An interesting pattern from my biotracker data, HCQ has seemingly lowered my average HRV. Though if this is due to the medication or increased disease activity I can’t really discern. Curious to see how it trends over the next 6-9 months.

Okay I haven’t looked at what Open Claw is but for some reason I imagine a claw game but instead of stuffed animals it’s full of white claw and I guess anyone can play. But the claw can never pick up the cans, by design. You win by opening up the machine.

@DStrachman @Tri_Stanisaurus So I’m seeing you do some education adjacent stuff, and I think we may have a mutual or two. I’m curious about “freedom & autonomy” for young people. I used to be involved in a project called WikiSeat that may have shared principles

A dose of serenity for yall. Or whatever you call dirt and plants inside glass enclosures. Maybe this will help you raise that cash and send those projects or what have you.

I know Silicon Valley startups don't want to hear this..... But the combination of someone in the trades with deep domain expertise and Claude Code will run circles around your generic software. I talked to Cory LaChance this morning, a mechanical engineer in industrial piping construction in Houston. He normally works with chemical plants and refineries, but now he also works with the terminal He reached out in a DM a few days ago and I was so fired up by his story, I asked him if we could record the conversation and share it. He built a full application that industrial contractors are using every day. It reads piping isometric drawings and automatically extracts every weld count, every material spec, every commodity code. Work that took 10 minutes per drawing now takes 60 seconds. It can do 100 drawings in five minutes, saving days of time. His co-workers are all mind blown, and when he talks to them, it's like they are speaking different languages. His fabrication shop uses it daily, and he built the entire thing in 8 weeks. During those 8 weeks he also had to learn everything about Claude Code, the terminal, VS Code, everything. My favorite quote from him was when he said, "I literally did this with zero outside help other than the AI. My favorite tools are screenshots, step by step instructions and asking Claude to explain things like I'm five." Every trades worker with deep expertise and a willingness to sit down with Claude Code for a few weekends is now a potential software founder. I can't wait to meet more people like Cory.

@Tri_Stanisaurus The OKC airport gets these complaints, but it is an international airport, I heard they make that designation based off of the length of runways being able to fit international sized planes?

Just know, as a native austinite, when I hear people complaining about our airport not being " viable" or not a real international airport, It lets me know that they only come here during South by Southwest. They are tourists, and their opinion holds no weight.

Should I go over the many papers I’m citing so I can attempt to make my point about anchoring bias amongst clinicians when dealing with atypical presenting autoimmune patients… or go to Braums and eat my feelings in the shape of peppermint candy ice cream?

Okay, should I make meat loaf or pasta and meatballs? The caveat is pasta requires me to roll out pasta, because I can and I have the pasta maker. Or maybe I’ll just make both?

And I’m dumb. They’re closed. Braum’s I’m sad. I thought ice cream would solve my problems but now I have another one, I have no ice cream. Guess I’ll just drink your delicious fancy milk and mix in molasses or something. Same diff.

Damn, I hope peppermint is still in stock, that’s a winter flavor. I might have to settle for strawberry. Good, but not peppermint.

@wholyv This looks like it wants to be a transceiver… but where’s the crystal? I see there’s a pot, so we’re adjusting something. Anyway, this is better than most code. It makes more sense when you board it out. Add some LED’s.

@TheVixhal They guessed. Hopefully it was a sunny day. In fact, it was probably a sunny day and a stick was upright in the dirt. First clock right there.

@catpoopburglar @lapislagoons Well, you’re not supposed to wash your blue jeans much, but the production of denim is quite water intensive. Better yet, let’s just wear still suits like in Dune. Problem solved.

@lapislagoons a pair of blue jeans is probably an even better example if you decided to go pantsless, you could do a million ChatGPT prompts before you are using more water than someone wearing jeans

@catpoopburglar @aryehazan This is a good argument against conjugal visits, and I agree. I think educating women, and everybody, on the heritability of being literally horrible may aid in mate selection. It seems we’ve forgotten this.
