@BobHarig Basically just a shorter season? With 16 signature events top guys will definitely skip some. Give me the old schedule any day. He's trying to turn PGAT into NFL, but the dynamics are totally different. Don't see this going well.

Brian Rolapp said hope is to increase signature events to 16 range but with 120 player fields and 36-hole cuts. A schedule of 21-26 events including majors, playoffs.

@jk_rowling In fairness to the celebrities, they are totally unqualified, probably not particularly bright and were trusting the "experts". They probably didn't know any better. The MDs did know better but lied.

And it will forever be appalling to me that a bunch of celebrities with influence over young people used their platforms to amplify unevidenced claims for the benefit of transitioning minors while smearing those urging caution as bigots.

@jk_rowling It will forever be amazing to me that people with medical degrees got in front of a camera and said that the effects of puberty blockers on children and adolescents are fully reversible. The horror.

@JoelMBeall No one (other than PGAT brass) want this to be a major. There is literally no case for it, no drive for it, no will for it. Why are we even talking about it? It's like talking about how I want to be the #1 golfer in the world. No one cares and it will never happen. Just annoying.

Katie, are you objecting to the "liberal" part or the "democracy" part? "Liberal" doesn't mean "left", especially when preceded by "classical". It certainly doesn't mean woke. Tbh though it seems like it's the whole democracy thing that bothers you and Stephen Miller.

Yeah, most people probably agree with you. I just think Brooks is done & am not particularly interested in him. I also think this risks driving some top PGAT guys to LIV if they get OWGR and still seem viable, knowing the precedent has been set (even if PGAT says it's not a precedent).

@NotHackingIt @Mike_kim714 I get what you’re saying but Brooks is still a big whale. He has a good following and has the same amount of majors as Rory. It definitely boost PGA Tour and hurt LIV, that’s why they acted fast. For sure Fitzy, Schauffele, Cantlay & co. would be pissed for not taking the money.

My thoughts: -I’m actually surprised at the amount of “penalties” that Brooks has to take on. It was the better decision to welcome him back. Most of the “anger” comes from feeling like we missed out but that’s not a place to make smart decisions from. -I think it was a big deal to the tour that Brooks didn’t wait until his contract with LIV ended, and said no to prob a lot of money to come back to the tour. -Some guys are pissed but ironically, I think the top guys are more ok with it. I get why some guys are mad but in the end, the tour has to make decisions that are better for the tour overall and Brooks coming back is good. -For me personally, I’m not mad or happy he’s back. We knew it was coming for a while and my job doesn’t change. I’m trying to win this tournament and play the best that I can this yr. That’s it.

@flushingitgolf Very simple and equitable solution. LIV guys just pay back their LIV signing bonuses (after taxes) to the PGA Tour and they're back in. Adjusts for the different bonuses handed out and the guys who stayed loyal to the tour and passed up the $. Everyone ends up equal.

The decision on whether to reinstate Brooks Koepka to the PGA Tour will be greatly influenced by Tiger Woods, who sits on the Policy Board as a Player Director as well as the Future Competition Committee (FCC). What do you think should happen? Should Brooks be allowed back this year?

PGA Tour sources have confirmed a report by ESPN that Brooks Koepka has applied for membership after leaving LIV Golf in December. It’s unclear what happens next, but there will be lots of interested observers. @bkoepka

These people are incapable of not lying about this. "Side window"? You can see the photos of the car with bullet holes. The shots came from the front of the car because that's where the officer was standing when he was hit by the car. He is allowed to discharge his weapon in self defense.
Ryan Grim@ryangrim

Ok this is genuinely psychotic. Innocent? He shot an unarmed woman twice through a side window and then called her a “fuckin’ bitch,” let her bleed out, and fled the scene.

It’s very cool seeing younger guys say no to the upfront money to chase more career goals. I obviously understand it from the other side as well but it’s one thing to talk about it, another to say no to a big check that’s right in front of you.

@JDVance As you point out, your "theft" took place about 20 years ago. If starting a war over what so obvious, why did no president, including Trump45, do it? And why didn't Trump47 run on it? Why did he run on ending wars and instead hasn't ended anything, but is starting new wars?

You see a lot claims that Venezuela has nothing to do with drugs because most of the fentanyl comes from elsewhere. I want to address this: First off, fentanyl isn't the only drug in the world and there is still fentanyl coming from Venezuela (or at least there was). Second, cocaine, which is the main drug trafficked out of Venezuela, is a profit center for all of the Latin America cartels. If you cut out the money from cocaine (or even reduce it) you substantially weaken the cartels overall. Also, cocaine is bad too! Third, yes, a lot of fentanyl is coming out of Mexico. That continues to be a focus of our policy in Mexico and is a reason why President Trump shut the border on day one. Fourth, I see a lot of criticism about oil. About 20 years ago, Venezuela expropriated American oil property and until recently used that stolen property to get rich and fund their narcoterrorist activities. I understand the anxiety over the use of military force, but are we just supposed to allow a communist to steal our stuff in our hemisphere and do nothing? Great powers don't act like that. The United States, thanks to President Trump's leadership, is a great power again. Everyone should take note.

@0hour1 It has literally nothing to do with solar. There was a fire at an electrical substation. Old-fashioned power transmission problem unrelated to how power is generated. PG&E is horrible, though, and doesn't maintain their infrastructure, which is the crux of the problem.
