Money needs to go through three phases. 1. Store of Value 2. Medium of Exchange (MoE) 3. Unit of Account Until Bitcoin becomes a store of value, it can never get to the widespread medium of exchange phase. Also, as Bitcoin is forced to scale in layers, it'll never become a medium of exchange. The MoE will be layer 2 IOUs, not actual bitcoin. Following this logic, Bitcoin will unlikely become a unit of account is it can't be used as a MoE.

@KaspaTeacher I don’t like the tradeoff with faster blocks. BSV is able to do a million TPS using a subtree system for reliable “unconfirmed” transactions in synchronized mempools. Faster blocks create greater orphan risk because of propagation speed limits.

Every single thesis that the small blockers have said bitcoin is for has failed. BTC isn’t a reliable settlement layer for L2, it isn’t a reliable store of value under pressure, and it isn’t even a decent inflation hedge. Even has a base fiat speculation tool, you’d have been better off in all kinds of stocks and precious metals. Meanwhile, big blockers have been proven right about scalability, Turing completeness and lots of other claims about bitcoin’s fundamental properties. When will people completely reject the people who hijacked bitcoin?
