I was visiting someone at a hospital once and I was so shocked when a patient was given a shot of alcohol too. They explained that his body had gotten to a point where he could actually die if he doesn’t have some. But they are gradually weaning him off of it, he only takes a certain amount daily and they reduce it as time goes until he is eventually cured

@DS2LightingMod Even still, the fact that the game is accepting MSAA and running with it enabled despite never being made for it is extremely impressive no matter how it ends up looking. I imagine the game uses too many shaders for MSAA to improve image quality everywhere. Still impressive.

@RGB_MIDAS Tysm. Although MSAA is very complicated to implement, it didn't provide the benefits I was hoping for. W.r.t to Path tracing is something I always wanted to do as I had already understood the renderer before

Thanks John :). DS2 also has a lot of torch mechanics built in, when the game launched, part of that was lost due to technical limitations of the time. The wonderful community has been helping me, test gameplay and visibility throughout the game.

The infamous hyperspeed bug in Peter Jackson's King Kong is now fixed!
The game tracks time with CPU cycles, but casts the frequency to a 32 bit value. On modern high-clock CPUs that overflows, so the engine thinks your CPU is way slower than it actually is.
It then crams way too many physics & gameplay events into each tick - and since the real CPU is still blazing fast, everything goes into insane overdrive. Now properly fixed for smooth gameplay on today's hardware.

In Super Mario Odyssey, many Goombas can be stacked. The limit for a legitimate Goomba stack is 30, as they will stop spawning afterwards. Manually spawning more Goombas reveals that the limit for an illegitimate Goomba stack is 200. At 201 Goombas, the game crashes.
