@RodWilson95 Yes. Collecting pts playing next to McDavid is essentially what Nuge has done this year. This year has not be a prototypical year for Nuge. He is showing clear signs of declining both visually and in the analytics.

I've been thinking about this for a long time guys... I think Nuge has become a 3rd line winger. Not ideal for top 6 minutes (but can) and no PK minutes anymore (He's been very poor for years now, including this year). I hope Nuge retires an Edmonton Oiler. At the same time, I'd like for the team to do what may be the best thing for themselves and remove Nuge from the top 6 once Draisaitl comes back. He can be a fantastic vet for youth to play with. He's still a decent 5v5 player. Just not as fast and smart as he used to be. Doesn't shoot as often anymore. Savoie, Podkolzin, Howard, Jarventie, Beryozkin, Hutson and more are Edm's future. Future that is here. Right now.

@DirtyOil73 @OilersJack He’s actually averaging less time per game then last year in Edmonton…15:00 last year, 14:35 now in Boston. He’s also averaging 2 minutes of pp per game while last year he only averaged only around 1 minute of pp per game. It was very much just Knoblauch being a bad coach

5 years ago, the Canadian national women’s team lost to multiple Jr. A teams I don’t know if I’d call you crazy, but you definitely didn’t think the outcome through at all. It would be so lopsided, the men wouldn’t even want to play out of not wanting to embarrass the women.

@RodWilson95 @thejacqinthebox It isn’t. The player playing the puck only comes into it if they are an additional skater. The two guys circled in red being classed as off the ice means he can play the puck as much as he wants, because he’s the fifth skater.

@thejacqinthebox I’m not 🇨🇦 or 🇺🇸, but to explain, this isn’t too many men according to IIHF rules. In the image, players 2 and 4 are leaving the ice and within 1.5m of the bench, so are considered ‘off the ice’ and you have to discount. With the guy out of frame, 🇺🇸 only have 5 active skaters.
