@SeatsNotVotes

We don’t yet have a proportional system. That means it’s vote concentration that matters NOT random mass appeal. Parties that can turn votes into seats will win

@ZiaYusufUK U are all minorities in a multi party system. None of u deserve to rule outright. Who is 1 & 2 in a system where there’s not much between u and all of them means little. It’s individual seats that matter not a hyped national picture. However the media 24/7 propaganda helps reform

@PolliticsUK @BMGResearch All our parties are minorities. Each one of them is a significant player in a multi party system. Number 1 and 2 places in a poll matter little in a multi party system..we need to start adapting to that. Each individual seat is different. Simple binaries of left/right are dead

@SeatsNotVotes @JamesMarshcz3o @LeftieStats @BritainElects Lib Dem’s aren’t going to become the biggest party. If they were of course it would get mentioned because it would mean they’d made some significant gains. But they aren’t likely to make significant gains, reform and greens are.

@BritainisCool Public and media also not yet caught up with a multi party System and trying to see things through binary prisms. We now have 6/7 parties all with roles to play in England, Scotland & wales. And more in NI. The electoral system at Westminster has to change

@deuxvingarian based on some estimates. For many they’re self fulfilling prophecies. Say them long enough & loud enough…If these results happen, it’s important to report where the full tally ends up. Otherwise people get distorted impression that lab, lib, con are no longer players.

@SeatsNotVotes In what way is this misleading? It's not misleading to report e.g. a by-election result without reference to the whole composition of the HoC. Anyway, here's how the GB-wide picture would look after these results: LAB 4414 CON 3631 LD 3117 REF 2861 GRN 1501

@jimbocrofts @JamesMarshcz3o @LeftieStats @BritainElects I’m not upset about anything. Why does everything have to be shock horror upset or celebration on social media. I’ve been pointing out there’s a bigger picture & we don’t get it in the hype. You’re starting to get obsessed now. Move on. It’s breakfast time, go have your Frosties
