@MandicReally @hueforge @CanuckCreator I had one and yes it overheated. In my case it was a blwn head gasket, though. I liked its utility, not its power train.

@hueforge @CanuckCreator I worked on a LOT of them about a decade ago. They were ticking time bombs then, just waiting to overheat and cook themselves out. They had constant BCM issues and electric fan issues. BCMs weren't the cheapest thing to replace, and the fans... well it would cook itself...

I havent seen a PT cruiser on the road in a long time I mean, it doesnt matter at all and has not affect on anything but something i just realized

@comingconflict @hueforge The recommended way is to print a Seashell_Test sample. Find the model and instructions in the HueForge/Tools folder.

@hueforge Side question. Is there any other ways to measure filament TD besides buying the TD-1 device?

I don't think a lot of people realize how much of a mess the 3MF format is. It seems clean - your slicer makes 3MF files that work. But they only work correctly with THAT version of THAT slicer. I thought "sure I'll make 3mf output, it won't be too bad" and then three weeks later I gave it up for a lost cause and that was only targetting 2 or 3 slicers. @AdditiveAtom talks over the process of making 3MFs for 10 different slicers. I can't tell you how happy I am to have people like Adam in the community to tackle problems I just don't have the time for.

Been playing with HueForge's Color Drop plugin creating single piece stained-glass models. There is no post-print assembly, but require an AMS or other handler. This one uses seven for purple irises. Downloadable at Makerworld and soon at printables: makerworld.com/en/models/2847…

@GlobalTechFM @NeoKoi_Prints @hueforge Danny's term "fake" means the Mesh Core treats colors dragged from an image as if they were filaments. However, in the end it is necessary to approximate those colors on the Color Core to realize a print. Image colors enable better blending in the end.

@NeoKoi_Prints @hueforge I didn't know HueForge used 'fake' filaments for colour stacking. Would have saved me several reprints last week. Are the transitions accurate to real spools?

Announcing the release of HueForge v0.9.3 and the brand new Color Drop Plugin! (For Windows/MacOS right now. Linux in the coming week) The version has a ton of updates, you can read the notes here: open.substack.com/pub/hornandrho… But some highlights. 1 - A proper Windows Installer but the zip file is still there if you prefer a portable version. 2 - SpotFix - the ability to adjust individual sections of the Mesh after creating your model with Color Pop or Color Match. 3 - Project Tree - the ability to make branching snapshot quicksaves and restore back to previous version easily with hotkeys or a UI for navigating the tree. Saves an hfpt file next to your project that gets loaded with it so you don't lose the history between saving and reloading. 4 - A LOT of bugfixes and stability Fixes. And announcing the ColorDrop Plugin (shop.thehueforge.com/pages/colordro…) which keeps the texture of HueForge prints but nests to common colors so that the print is shorter, rings around parts of your model disappear and print time drops dramatically. Purge waste can be the same or higher for regular HueForge prints, but the total filament used is a lot less and for FlatForge prints that benefit, Color Drop is a huge time and filament saver with less waste. Also allowing much thinner FlatForge prints.

@hueforge I would suspect you need to purge the internet of all bad HF information posted by "real" people. Isn't that what the LLM agents are using?

Now, if I could figure out a way to get the LLMs to stop lying to people about what HF does....

I have to be honest. It's amazing how good the various available translate functions are for Customer Support. I know they aren't perfect, but they really allow me to support customers in a ton of places around the world that would otherwise be impossible to support.

@hueforge @ChuckHellebuyck @digikey Mine was -40F (actually it's the same in centigrade) at closing time of the Library (bar) in Houghton, UP of Michigan in 1967 as an undergrad student at Michigan Tech.

@ChuckHellebuyck @digikey I've only been in -19F in Sioux Falls and that was quite cold enough. The boom forklift gelled and we had to get a rental in.
