Finally got dynamic player sprites working. Your character now changes appearance based on whatever you equip (very basic at the moment)
Now I need to figure out dismemberment and all that stuff, for both enemies too...

Пожалуйста не забудь про видимый scrollbar. Например, в моей мышке сломано колёсико. Или хотя бы сделай включаемую опцию в настройках, чтобы отображать scrollbar или нажать и тянуть скроллинг кликом мыши, это для сломанных мышек, как у меня, хаха.

@KyleCushway The trick is the outline, since I merge everything first, then running a pixel outline pass on the whole silhouette gives you one clean outline stroke around the whole character and then the shadow uses that same merged image so that the shape always matches :) 2/2

@KyleCushway Thank you<3!! Yes, I started with the naked base body sprites, split into pieces (arms, legs etc) so limbs can disappear when severed, then clothes,armor pieces,weapons(both hands) layers go on top for what’s equipped. I stacks them all into one group image before drawing 1/2

Been doing a LOT of invisible boring work, mainly on chunk saving and loading for custom maps, but to share something visual: I now have destructible walls that create debris. Next, to make the debris damage more lethal...

@ToenAndreMC Weather transitions in a dark fantasy roguelike is a great detail — rain making the environment feel reactive adds a lot. The interior/exterior distinction especially is something a lot of games skip entirely.
