Good news everyone! If you updated to iOS 26.4 and decide to downgrade, to 26.3.1 because it won't accept your ID, you're stuffed.. unless you have an older backup from earlier! Thank you so much @Apple @AppleSupport for wrecking my phone with your stupid obeying of draconian and invasive UK laws, and costing us 200+GB of data. I've personally used Apple products since 2011, and today is my last day. Good news is @GrapheneOS is ready to go.

Update, downgrading to iOS26.3.1 and back to 26.4 and restoring data seems to fix the missing ID option bug. Apparently I'm 18+ phew! only found out 18 years late! Now I just have to wait for Apple to get hacked and my personal information leaked. thanks @Keir_Starmer !

@Apple thanks for lying about "iOS 26.4" not having Age Verification and it was a "mistake". Apparently you forgot to add the ID option too, as it goes straight to credit card with no option for ID. Our two iPhone's will be headed to @Cex tomorrow. We're going to @GrapheneOS.

I have an update on the lawsuit. No competent adults appear to be working at either Sega, Fusion85 or the Police. Next weeks filings will land like a ton of bricks as the reality of their terrible decisions over the last 14 days become apparent. I’m playing chess. They appear to be playing noughts and crosses.

They need to just own up to their failures. This all balls down to negligence, overreach and arrogance. Had they pulled their heads out their rear ends they could have just spoken and resolved it for all parties. You don’t get anywhere being stubborn or acting dumb. This whole situation has put me off sega games personally. But I still want to see sega do right and put things right.

How about this @SEGA You have one opportunity of a lifetime to turn this shit show you created in to a massive marketing PR win. You can either remain belligerent and slowly your entire global target market will turn against you. Or you do the right thing, tell your consumers you aren’t an evil corporation, mistakes were made, lessons were learned, show your core demographic that you do infact care about game preservation. This doesn’t need to be a war, but i’m happy either way.

VideoGamer has been de-indexed by Google. A legacy UK games media site killed by ClickOut. I worked for VG pre-acquisition - we brought back original interviews, rose the domain back up. It was acquired, filled with gambling ads, ravaged by AI, and then killed.
