@chigrl We sell over 1.6 billion pounds of wet distillers feed (WDGS) to our cattle feeders. The feeders refer to it as “cow crack” because the feed is so palatable.

@chigrl The corn has 3 main components: starch, carbon, & protein. We use the starch to make sugars, which make ethanol. The protein is the main portion of the distillers grains. That is used for animal feed.

Since 2022, I’ve been running E30 (30% ethanol blend) in my 2020 Ford F-150 Lariat and now my 2025 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali. Combined, that’s over 100,000 miles logged—with more than 90% on E30—and zero fuel-related issues, no check engine lights, no weird maintenance surprises. @bagplanter @Kronykal @atrupar John Deere began layoffs in 2024. Yes they buy from domestic and international sources. Corn & bean prices are lower from highs in 2022 to lows in 2024 & 2025. This reduced capital investment in farm equipment. Unfortunately this is the cycle.
