I mean this is just absolutely absurd for a 21 year old rookie. And the crazy thing is I fully expect his Avg Exit Velo and Hard Hit % to increase once the power starts kicking in more. We have a generational talent on our hands.

it remains so perfect that Craig Kimbrel is the man who decides whether Phillies fans are chaotic good or chaotic evil on any given night

Zohran will you commit to coming on the tipping pitches podcast to break the curse you’ve levied upon our beloved New York Mets @ZohranKMamdani
katie honan@katie_honan

.@nycmayor takes his status as @mets curse in stride and says there’s a lot more baseball left of a so far horrific start to the season

@ScoringChanges Great point a out evening out! Agree with @TheAttack5 tho... Its hard enough to hit. And the purpose of the scoring is to 1) make a log of the game 2) log reliably meaningful statistics about production. Denying any doubles is worse than over counting doubles esp with aribitratio

Good one! This is usually only a problem with a tie game and the runner on third. I think it evens out though, because there are times the outfield and infield comes in and a ball is hit over the head of someone that is normally caught, but say an outfielder just let's it go for a hit. If the runner is on second, this can be a double if the batter hustles all the way and TOUCHES second ... if he is close, scorers are instructed to rule that a double. This is from the rulebook: "The Official Scorer shall credit the batter with a base touched in the natural course of play, even if the winning run has scored moments before on the same play. For example, the score is tied in the bottom of the ninth inning with a runner on second base and the batter hits a ball to the outfield that falls for a base hit. The runner scores after the batter has touched first base and continued on to second base but shortly before the batter-runner reaches second base. If the batter-runner reaches second base, the Official Scorer shall credit the batter with a two-base hit." Lesson: RUN IT OUT!!

@ScoringChanges i dont like the scoring rule on walkoffs where the hit is based on the winning run(s) starting base. leads to balls in play that are/should be doubles scored singles! hurts the players!
