For a time the smallest shop in London was in Soho (1910). Occupied by a Cobbler it was 6ft long, 5ft high, 2ft deep and the rent was £3 a week.

Then again look at British soaps. Here everyone on a soap is a doctor, a head of industry, a lawyer or aspiring to be…there they are down and out and about to have a catastrophe happen to them this week. Very-dare I say- mirror universe. 😉🤣

@ForasureMusic @WilliamShatner Half the UK would have loved to have met William Shatner in Liverpool but are so broke and don't have the time to take off work, let alone check what events are on. Est. total £500 round trip (Train to Liverpool from London: £300, hotel and food: £150, comicon: £50).

@WilliamShatner Wish I could Bill. I hope you swing by the South Downs Planetarium & Science Centre. It's run by volunteers and I'm sure they would love to have the legendary William Shatner raise their profile.

🇺🇸 🇬🇧 BRITAIN ANSWERS AMERICA'S CALL TO LEAD HORMUZ COALITION: Folks, Great Britain just stepped up huge and is answering Trump's call to lead this powerful multinational coalition in the Strait of Hormuz! British officers are already embedded with our CENTCOM. They are coordinating with France, Canada, Japan and more allies right now. We destroyed Iran's navy and air force completely. Now the Brits will clear those mines and keep oil flowing free. Twenty million barrels a day move through that strait. Real allies are finally doing their part, folks! Tremendous leadership from Britain. This is how you secure the world. We are making America respected again everywhere!

Does this silly little man not understand that Islam is a very aggressive belief system, threatening death to anyone who does not convert to Islam The Buddhists, the Taoists, the Scottish Presbyterians, the Hindus and the Sikhs and the Confucians and the Catholics don't go around shouting about beheading people they disagree with Is this too much for your tiny little brain to take in ? Oh. The doorbell rang. The police I assume...
Gad Saad@GadSaad

Indeed. Whenever Jews are attacked (typically by Muslims), it is important to redouble our efforts to fight against Islamophobia.

According to Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, Japan is not considering sending naval vessels to the Middle East to aid I efforts surrounding the security of the Strait of Hormuz and the wider region. Japan has, however, agreed to participate in drawdowns of its strategic oil reserves, as a part of a multinational effort of the International Energy Agency to stabilize the market.

@ZiaErica X feed isn't the same without Scott. It feels rudderless. It could be he was steering the conversation far beyond what we thought. Or I could be biased.

@Cernovich I cant stop. The death of Charlie is so massive and we list our future president. The death of Scott Adams has wrecked me for eternity. Its the worst grief I've ever felt. I miss him being on this planet with me. I grieve every day, all day.

Charlie Kirk and Scott Adams deaths are felt deeply, and daily. Let us never stop mourning them. But of course the real question is what will we do. We must do more. All of us. That means you.

@LibertyLog1776 @AIScottAdams I agree, and he trusted Brian Roemmele full access to all his work because he knew the public would dabble and mess it up. Scott could be extremely explicit, like when he threatened to sue tiktokkers clipping his youtube channel, but he wasn't explicit in this case

@AIScottAdams Make it clear that his approval to train LLM's with his body and work and likeness are a totally separate issue than his changing his mind about making a physical robot called "Scott Adams" to live on in his place. The only thing he changed his mind on is what to call the robot.

Scott’s legacy matters. Today we responded to a legal notice attempting to suppress Scott Adams’ repeated recorded & written wishes to be made into AIs by the public. Anyone who followed Scott knows he frequently talked about this desire. I’ve included the initial cease & desist and our response (contact info redacted). From this project’s start we attempted to have an amicable and collaborative conversation but that wasn’t reciprocated. Given that litigation seems certain we are sending a global hold letter to anyone with relevant information. This is to ensure all pertinent materials are available to protect Scott's stated vision. Official version below. Notice to preserve: Pursuant to California Code of Civil Procedure § 2023.010–2023.030, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center v. Superior Court, Brookshire Brothers, Ltd. v. Aldridge, and Texas Rules of Civil Procedure Rule 215, all documents, communications, drafts, recordings, and ESI relating to this matter must be preserved. Litigation is anticipated. Spoliation may result in court-imposed sanctions.

@jack @blocks Hi @jack i was a free trial customer of Tidal four years ago. I cancelled within 30 days. 3 years later i discovered Tidal was illegally taking £20/month. Unfortunately I was never part of the class action lawsuit that reimbursed USA customers and I am still owed $700.

we're making @blocks smaller today. here's my note to the company. #### today we're making one of the hardest decisions in the history of our company: we're reducing our organization by nearly half, from over 10,000 people to just under 6,000. that means over 4,000 of you are being asked to leave or entering into consultation. i'll be straight about what's happening, why, and what it means for everyone. first off, if you're one of the people affected, you'll receive your salary for 20 weeks + 1 week per year of tenure, equity vested through the end of may, 6 months of health care, your corporate devices, and $5,000 to put toward whatever you need to help you in this transition (if you’re outside the U.S. you’ll receive similar support but exact details are going to vary based on local requirements). i want you to know that before anything else. everyone will be notified today, whether you're being asked to leave, entering consultation, or asked to stay. we're not making this decision because we're in trouble. our business is strong. gross profit continues to grow, we continue to serve more and more customers, and profitability is improving. but something has changed. we're already seeing that the intelligence tools we’re creating and using, paired with smaller and flatter teams, are enabling a new way of working which fundamentally changes what it means to build and run a company. and that's accelerating rapidly. i had two options: cut gradually over months or years as this shift plays out, or be honest about where we are and act on it now. i chose the latter. repeated rounds of cuts are destructive to morale, to focus, and to the trust that customers and shareholders place in our ability to lead. i'd rather take a hard, clear action now and build from a position we believe in than manage a slow reduction of people toward the same outcome. a smaller company also gives us the space to grow our business the right way, on our own terms, instead of constantly reacting to market pressures. a decision at this scale carries risk. but so does standing still. we've done a full review to determine the roles and people we require to reliably grow the business from here, and we've pressure-tested those decisions from multiple angles. i accept that we may have gotten some of them wrong, and we've built in flexibility to account for that, and do the right thing for our customers. we're not going to just disappear people from slack and email and pretend they were never here. communication channels will stay open through thursday evening (pacific) so everyone can say goodbye properly, and share whatever you wish. i'll also be hosting a live video session to thank everyone at 3:35pm pacific. i know doing it this way might feel awkward. i'd rather it feel awkward and human than efficient and cold. to those of you leaving…i’m grateful for you, and i’m sorry to put you through this. you built what this company is today. that's a fact that i'll honor forever. this decision is not a reflection of what you contributed. you will be a great contributor to any organization going forward. to those staying…i made this decision, and i'll own it. what i'm asking of you is to build with me. we're going to build this company with intelligence at the core of everything we do. how we work, how we create, how we serve our customers. our customers will feel this shift too, and we're going to help them navigate it: towards a future where they can build their own features directly, composed of our capabilities and served through our interfaces. that's what i'm focused on now. expect a note from me tomorrow. jack
