unique merch is so much easier to design than a unique brand system, but i want to learn to pull things like this off. i refuse to bow down to helvetica

@jdreeves oh that’s genuinely great to know!! i’ve recently been agonizing about how to improve without a team to learn from, i suppose reading about others’ work getting dissected is one way to do it haha

@capauri no prob! I've learned a lot over the years from that site, both in the critiques and also finding new studios to follow. they have an annual conference that has been really helpful for me as well.

i love brand new (the design opinion website) and have been thinking lately, it would be really cool and helpful if there was a site like that specifically in tech. critiquing and cataloging brands, rebrands, web refreshes, maybe even product launches, campaigns etc. thoughts?

Add what's in short supply. X is saturated with cask-strength rudeness but is short on beautiful material culture (compared to IG, tiktok) So post nice-looking stuff, I think there's a hunger for that
