@Super70sSports The only Walton’s episode I was able to watch was that one where he mailed ordered the Harvard classics library or whatever it was.

@ClassicShowbiz Is it some sort of editing workflow issue tied into there having to be Canadian content for the CBC?
Of course, the Great White North segment DID make it into the states.
There were also graphics overlay edits tied into repackaging the show for NBCs requested length changes

@BackintheBronze All I remember about the Eternals is he-man walking through a forest of gigantic robots with rice cookers for heads. Forty years later I read a wiki of a retconned history tying them into the creation of the Inhumans, the Watcher, Galactus, and his knows what else. Jacks idea?

@ronmarz The ‘misfortune’ of releasing a second part of a film only 6 wks after the 1st Part was released? Who has ever done that?
I know it’s increasingly the rage, dump 4 1000 pages books of a saga at the same time, binge watching a miniseries ASAP, but its lady lucks fault?
English

So gross seeing people respond to this with celebration. Reveling in someone else's misfortune, especially when it has nothing to do with you, is vile. So petulant. But I guess that's where we live now.

Kevin Costner’s ‘HORIZON 2’ has had its August 16 theatrical release cancelled. The studio are hoping of allowing more time to grow the audience for the first film before releasing the second. (Source: hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-n…)

@RufusTSuperfly And there’s that time someone randomly slashed his face with a knife. He sure does seem to get in a lot of random situations.

@MaxMcKinley4 @terance2440 I think those last two apjac Planet of the Apes films would resonate far differently now and deserve to be rewatched by everyone. They were making social commentary on times we thought we would not see again. But those times are returning.

@terance2440 @terance2440 your monkey memorabilia is excellent!
The latter POTA movies are a little underloved IMO.🤟😎🤟

At least one follower of mine says this video is now suppressed on X. @heterodorx says he can see it, but we follow each other. Can y'all tell me whether the video in this quote tweet is visible at the moment?
Nina Paley@ninapaley
I can finally post This Land Is Mine on my own X account. For those who don't know, I made this in 2012.

@harrymccracken He reshaped American Entertainment into a shape that had fewer Albert Brooks appearances.
English

This is a great piece.
(Also: Brooks’ appearances on Larry King’s radio show are some of his best work. I don’t know if he was ever a scheduled guest—he just called in like a normal person.)
nxthompson@nxthompson
Albert Brooks was offered roles that went to Tom Hanks, Billy Crystal, Robin Williams, and Steve Martin. He turned them all down and reshaped American entertainment his own way. theatlantic.com/magazine/archi…

@picturethis74 Oops, didn’t even see the first photo, where it is clearly stated.

@jeffs_comics The one they slipped to Wes Anderson’s Color Grader.
English

@terance2440 @FamousMonsters Is it complete? I thought you may have passed the point of completion a while back.

@RyanSlathMemes @iCreativeArtist All Superman flying is an anti-gravity thing. Stopping a train or a speeding bullet is also bending the laws of physics
English

@iCreativeArtist The part that most upsets me about this cover is How does Superman know Daredevil's secret identity. . . Followed second by the gravity thing

Today's QUESTION OF THE DAY for comics readers and pros...
...name a comic that you have reread several times! It needn't be the BEST comic or the most FAMOUS comic, just one that makes you happy to reread!
Photos encouraged!

@ManFirestorm It can be a bit of both. Sometimes it is just penciler and inker.
You can sometimes spot it in original art, it is more likely to be pasted in if the letterer did it. Or you might even see notes in margin. Consider how frequently the letterers are doing this for sound effects

@dairekellydub @JsonBasedman Only in those parts of the moon the sun is hitting. It switches back every 28 days.
It feels futile.
