I'm a Christian. And not only that, I am crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live, yet it's not I who live, but Christ who lives in me. The life I live now, I live by Faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself up for me. I am a blood bought, born again, absolutely redeemed, heaven bound child of God. You don't get to name or define that which doesn't belong to you. I am what God says I am. Not sure why you keep bringing up denominations. Sounds like you want to fight.

If the Spirit is guiding all of these different denominations then the spirit needs a time out! Jesus said His Church will prevail and the gates of hell will not!

I'm not "protestant" that I know of. I have no denomination. When I got saved I was alone. I've had the Spirit to guide me. God told me I didn't need a set of rules or laws. He told me his Spirit would teach me the truth. And when I looked in the Bible, sure enough it said that. So I trust the Spirit for understanding, knowledge and wisdom -- not any human. He doesn't say "believe and be baptized, the same way he was!" I looked and I didn't find that anywhere in the scriptures. You're adding words to the book that aren't in any known translation.

I'm taking it as the real issue here is water baptism. If that's not the case then this post can be ignored. Jesus baptized with fire and the Holy Spirit. Mark 16:16: No mention of water, skipping. Acts 2:38: No mention of water, skipping. John 3:5: Water mentioned. This statement was done before Jesus finished his work here. With the thief on the cross, there was no water baptism. So how then is this understood in my mind? Apparently, Jesus' death on the cross changed things. Jesus was baptized with water to fulfill all righteousness. When his work was finished 1 Corinthians 1:30 “But of Him are you in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification and redemption” Jesus fulfilled the law, including the requirement for water baptism. Christ became our righteousness. So now that his work was done, he could take the thief to paradise...this day, without water baptism.
