Be weary of what you spend in the portal, but also remember that sometimes the guy you desperately want is worth it. Throwback to Arkansas last year being in Yaxel Lendeborg's top 2 pretty much and wasn't willing to pay the extra dough necessary. Yax pretty much led the wolverines to a natty. It's crucial to not overpay, but to also know when you have to spend BIG. The portal is a hard season for coaches financially.

@AllUKBall_HPS I want Pope to target guys he wants and land them. I don’t care which guys he gets, as long as they fit his system and are his top options. I don’t want another offseason of him losing guys to other teams and winding up with his 3rd options … and no guys coming off injuries

Neoklis Avdalas is the prototypical Mark Pope stretch 4. Outside of PG depth, not having someone like this on the roster is why the offense look so different from year 1. Do whatever you gotta do to land him.

@gruntwork87 @KySportsRadio I’m not ready to concede that, I DO believe that he got the UK job before he was fully ready for it but that doesn’t mean that he can’t make the necessary adjustments to be successful. He needs to stop making the simple things hard by overthinking. Keep simple shit simple

It can be difficult to really process all the players in the portal and who Kentucky will/won’t get Here is my bottom line. With Moreno/Chandler/Kam back, I want to see Kentucky get at least two REALLY good players, one very solid player and 3-4 guys good at specific roles.
