In Western history, a woman being a teacher would signal that she’d be a great wife. She’d usually be young and love spending time around children; just eagerly awaiting the chance to have kids of her own. But in modern America, they’re mostly old women who hate children. I wonder if the Japanese still have kind, motherly, female teachers that mostly teach early grades because they just enjoy being around children. They still exist in America, but they’re very rare.

Last night I took some melatonin, slept 9 hours, and today I feel like a completely different person. It’s the happiest I’ve felt in a long time. It’s amazing what a good night’s sleep can do for you. I’m not an envious person, but I really do envy people who can sleep without any problems.
