@jonathan_wilke @prisma @DrizzleORM Drizzle. The latest Prisma update was causing a lot of issues. Migrating to Drizzle was easier than fixing all these issues.

@forgebitz As long as companies still use Microsoft Office products, software is definitely not solved 😂

my problem with the whole "software is solved" crowd is that i can literally see software not being solved cursor breaks every other commit, giving you code from a session from last week aws and cloudflare break almost monthly now buggy and slow software everywhere

It's crazy how fast you can build something today with e.g. Claude Code 😎 But I honestly miss the times where I still had to write every single line of code myself 🥲

@tuffzCOM If I want to delete my account, you already lost me as a customer/user. There's no way to turn this around with a crappy account deletion process. If I want to delete my account, I'm already included in your actual churn rate, regardless of whether my account still exists or not

@marcs_dev I completely agree with you, but experience shows that it will probably make things worse and make it more difficult to delete accounts in order to reduce the churn rate.

I'm currently deleting a lot of accounts that I no longer need, and it's crazy how many sites do not support a one-click account deletion 🤯 Why do I have to write support emails, fill out contact forms or even sign-up to forums, just to get my account deleted?

@tuffzCOM Totally makes sense from that perspective. But still, bad user experience. And honestly, account deletion is really not that hard to implement nowadays.

@marcs_dev Definitely, but deleting the account is usually at the bottom of the priority list for each product manager. In most cases, the goal is to reduce the churn rate, not to increase them. This makes it increasingly difficult to delete your account.

@tuffzCOM It should be part of good customer service. If they make it easy for me to go, I might come back in the future.

@_andypeacock Yeah, and it’s not only for subscriptions, but also for accounts. The craziest thing I saw: I was forced to sign up to a forum, write a dm to one of the admins, just to get my account deleted (not the account for the forum, but for their app….)

@marcs_dev I can't get over that sometimes, even when there is an unsubscribe link, you still have to enter your email address. The one they just used to send you a mail with the unsubscribe link in it.

@marcs_dev Nice, so if the password manager you use built a function to manage the account closure, that would be a nice feature, a headache for all the different ways to manage but a nice potential USP for a new password manager.
