@marcs_dev People tend to give up from deleting their accounts, so high user numbers remain attractive to investors. Keeping your contact details also means that there is a possibility to reactivate you as a paying customer. I’m not saying this is positive, but that’s how business works.

@tuffzCOM If I want to delete my account, you already lost me as a customer/user. There's no way to turn this around with a crappy account deletion process. If I want to delete my account, I'm already included in your actual churn rate, regardless of whether my account still exists or not

I'm currently deleting a lot of accounts that I no longer need, and it's crazy how many sites do not support a one-click account deletion 🤯 Why do I have to write support emails, fill out contact forms or even sign-up to forums, just to get my account deleted?

@marcs_dev Definitely, but deleting the account is usually at the bottom of the priority list for each product manager. In most cases, the goal is to reduce the churn rate, not to increase them. This makes it increasingly difficult to delete your account.

last year I hustled every single day early and late nights, pushing through, ignoring signals. I nearly burned out. nowadays I’m learning to listen to my body because I want to keep going long-term. today I wanted to hustle. but at 7 pm the energy was gone and my body made it clear, slight shoulder pain after a full day. so I went to bed early. not because I’m weak or lazy, but because I’ve learned when to stop. tomorrow I’ll start early with new energy. gn.
