@PalmerLuckey @jamesjansson @AOC Walton family heirs did not create anything
and do not do anything
They earn $4 million per hour - 100 million every day x.com/profwolff/stat…

The Walton family earns $4 million per hour every day without working. That's US capitalism as millions lack money for medical care, housing, college educations and much else. Is obscene wealth inequality the real meaning of US "family values"? bloom.bg/2YJCVcc

The single largest form of theft in America is wage theft. $50 billion a year are stolen from American workers.
If a billionaire amasses their wealth by underpaying their full-time workers so severely that they must rely on food assistance and government programs to survive, then no, that wealth was not earned by one individual - it was a wealth transfer subsidized by underpaid American workers and the public who get stuck with the bill for large corporations free-riding off our systems.
The point is less about individual morality. It’s more about how our current economic reality of shattering inequality rewards screwing over workers and exploiting essential systems at scale.
We’re talking monopoly power. Rent-seeking. Wage theft. Profiteering. Stock buybacks. Destabilizing housing markets. Companies using SNAP/EBT to underwrite their wages. Massive government subsidies or contracts to corporations following lobbying and dark money in politics with little to no oversight or accountability.
Some people get enraged that I draw attention to this. That’s on them. Let them call me shrill, dumb, inexperienced, girly, uneducated - these folks will say anything to distract from or undercut the truth that working people are getting screwed, and giving people a fair shake means we must have a grown conversation about reigning in abuse of power.

AOC: “There’s a certain level of wealth and accumulation that is unearned. You can’t earn a billion dollars. You just can’t earn that. You can get market power, you can break rules, you can abuse labor laws, you can pay people less than what they’re worth, but you can’t earn that”

AOC is the product of DEI. She’s unintelligent and uneducated. She operates with junior high school level of sophistication. Whatever potential she may have had was never expressed because she was pushed through the system and chosen as a puppet in Congress.
She’s not the sophisticated criminal like Pelosi. Pelosi can say stupid shit like that and knows she’s lying.
AOC actually believes the stupid shit she says.

I started Oculus while I was living in a trailer working a minimum wage job. I spent years developing the technology and sold it less than 18 months after hiring my first employees. Most of the $2.3B purchase went to them on account of our shared ownership structure.
Wish all you want, but you just aren't correct on this. Individual people create billions of dollars in value all the time.

I missed the last train in Seoul once.
Phone at 3%. Didn’t speak Korean. It was raining, freezing, and I had no idea where I was supposed to go.
I tried calling an Uber but my card kept failing because of my bank fraud protection. Perfect timing.
I was standing outside the station looking completely defeated when this older woman walked up to me and started speaking Korean. I told her I didn’t understand.
She pulled out her phone translator and typed:“You are lost?”
I nodded.
She asked where I was staying, looked at the address, then motioned for me to follow her.
This woman walked me almost 15 minutes through side streets, holding her umbrella over both of us while I apologized every thirty seconds.
When we got to my hotel, I tried offering her cash for helping me.
She looked genuinely offended.
Typed into the translator again:“If my son was lost somewhere, I hope someone helps him too.”
Then she bowed and walked away in the rain before I could even process what happened.
Some places still treat strangers like human beings first.

JK Rowling, after the UK Supreme Court unanimously ruled that the legal definition of a woman is based on biological sex, posted a photo of herself smoking a cigar and drinking a cocktail with the caption:
"I love it when a plan comes together."
She funded the legal challenge, won in the highest court in the UK, and celebrated with a cigar. Is Rowling the most consequential author alive right now?

Arming the Iranian people is a sound idea. It requires time, planning, and infrastructure.
In the meantime, when protesters are in the streets, deploying 50–100 MQ-9 Reaper and MQ-1C Gray Eagle over Iran’s ten largest cities for persistent loitering, surveillance, and precision targeting of repression forces on the ground would be a game changer and could accelerate the regime’s collapse.
If Washington decides to pursue such a strategy-plans for it seriously, does the preparatory work, and maintains consistent messaging-mobilizing people into the streets and triggering defections within the regime’s security apparatus becomes entirely feasible.
