@Kasparov63 The signs were evident a year ago — as you can see from my tweet from a year ago that MAGA plays their anti-EU and anti-Ukraine games together with Orbán, the Russians, and Netanyahu.🇮🇱🇷🇺 x.com/SildidInfo/sta…

@SavchenkoReview Witkoff is only interested in the deal in Iran and Syria, representing Israeli interests with Kushner Kushner family knows Netanyahu since his childhood Kushner does not care about Ukraine at all

@Scaramucci And the war was started by Israel anyway This war is Israel-Iran war started by Netanyahu who created this global energy crisis Europe has no alliances with Israel x.com/Ethiopianlion9…
Samir 🇨🇦@Ethiopianlion99

@marcorubio He’s either lying now, or he was lying days after the war started. Rubio clearly stated Israel was about to strike, so they had to join in order to preempt an Iranian strike on US assets. Iran was never an imminent threat, just another war for Israel.

No chance KGB agent 'Steklov' was rooting for Ukraine. On Feb 24 2022, the day Russia commenced the full-scale invasion, Stoltenberg announced that he had previously notified the Russians in advance that NATO will stand aside and not help Ukraine, greenlighting the invasion.
Igor Sushko@igorsushko

🚨🧵 Stoltenberg developed a decade-long friendship with Kirillov, KGB officer tasked with recruiting agents in Oslo, because Kirillov was a "a knowledgeable and interesting conversation partner." KGB codenamed agent Stoltenberg 'Steklov.' (Made of Glass) newsinenglish.no/2016/10/14/sto…

@markomihkelson Seems like a wrong policy by the way - temporary NATO policy at best , but your Reform party will be replaced in Estonia soon anyway, so: 1) The Eastern flanks main goal should be - to include Ukraine as the cornerstone of the EU defence 2) And to create a united EU army

Fully agree.
Marshall S. Billingslea@M_S_Billingslea

NATO’s 2nd Secretary General, Hastings Ismay, famously said “The purpose of NATO is to keep the Russians out, the Americans in, and the Germans down.” For @SecGenNATO next week, the goal remains to keep the Russians out & the Americans in, but to drag up the Germans, Spaniards, Italians et al. Rutte needs to show up with a plan to do that. I have on several occasions suggested some hard-hitting reforms that leave NATO intact while penalizing low-performers. 👇

@SildidInfo @NBAPropEdge There was no invasion or occupation “attempt”, just a snarky taunt. Do you not see that the pathetic European response to that taunt just proved Trump’s point that Europe is incapable of defending Greenland?

Even if you did not support Trumps decision to launch of war of choice against Iran (like me), restricting the use of US airbases in NATO countries imprudently damages NATO unity. Yes, Trumps threats to invade/annex NATO countries does too. But 2 wrongs don’t make a right.

This Easter, we remember: Israel obliterated the mausoleum of Simon Peter, the Apostle of Christ, in Shama, southern Lebanon. A sacred site that stood for over 2,000 years, now in ruins. This is a war crime. This is a crime against history.

BREAKING. Israel is blowing up entire civilian homes in Naqoura, South Lebanon right now. Civilian homes. No military target. No justification. Just pure terror and destruction. This is a war crime in broad daylight. And the world watches in silence.

🇪🇺🇺🇸In Germany the Land of Schleswig-Holstein is fighting for digital sovereignty by replacing US software with open-source alternatives. They're replacing Microsoft Office with LibreOffice, Outlook with Thunderbird & testing Linux vs Windows. But we've more examples in Europe: 🇫🇷 France (Lyon): Transitioning from MS Office to PostgreSQL, Linux, and OnlyOffice to protect municipal data. ⚖️ Intl Criminal Court: Ditching Microsoft Office in favor of Open Desk, the European open-source suite. ✈️ Airbus: Moving critical/sensitive assets from foreign clouds to a dedicated European sovereign cloud. 🇩🇪 Germany (Military): Rolling out Open Desk across the Bundeswehr to ensure secure, independent communications. 🏥 France (Health Data Hub): Formally exiting Microsoft Azure for a European cloud provider to secure patient data. 🇳🇱 Netherlands: Parliament has officially urged the government to build its own National Cloud. 💶 Eurozone: Pushing the "Wero" and Digital Euro to reduce dependency on Visa/Mastercard. There are other similar initiatives. I track them but I can't get them all. DM me if you need access to the sources.

@MaMoMVPY European military bases hold massive strategic importance. They serve as platforms for projecting power across different continents — essentially ensuring America's role as the dominant global hegemon. Therefore Europe should use these bases instead x.com/general_ben/st…
Ben Hodges@general_ben

The troops in Europe are not defending Europe but rather our access to dozens of US bases across Europe which enable us to defend our interests on three Continents and critical routes such as Suez and Mediterranean. 100K troops in Europe…that would almost fill Michigan Stadium.

@SildidInfo @McFaul There wasn't any attempt to invade Greenland and Canada. Second, our bases in Europe are no longer needed or are necessary for the US national security interest. Europeans have shot themselves in the foot.

SCARBOROUGH: We live in age of asymmetrical warfare. Weaker countries can bleed dry stronger ones. Look at Russia: instead of taking Kyiv in 3 days, they suffered 1.4 million casualties, wrecked their economy, still can’t take over Donbas. Trump administration keeps lying and saying, “Russia’s about to take over Donbas. Ukraine better make a deal fast.” Ukrainians reply: “Yeah, no, we’re fine. Eat this drone, Russia.”

The Europeans are not dealing with “a man.” They are dealing with the United States of America. The United States needed the most innocuous kind of cooperation from them. They denied the United States that cooperation. The implied argument is that their obligations within our alliance depend on whether they like the guy we chose as our president. “Sure, we’re allies…if we approve of who you elected.” Nope. We are not going to forget, and we’re not going to forgive. I’m indifferent to their excuses or their rationalizations. The United States of America needed their help and not very much help. They turned us down. That changes everything. And they aren’t going to like how it changes everything.
Gerard Baker@gerardtbaker

The casuistry here is remarkable. This is the simple reality: Like most Americans, most Europeans think this war is a bad idea.Their governments are being asked to take a huge risk by a man who has proved unreliable, volatile and intemperate over and over. Who would do that?

@Kasparov63 Western Europe still has the "buffer zone" concept as one of their options Thats why they dont have too many boots on the ground in Eastern Europe Therefore I suggested that the Eastern flank should allow Russians to march straight to Germany x.com/SildidInfo/sta…
Sildid@SildidInfo

@FT The Eastern flank should not be treated as a buffer zone either its protected or Russians be allowed to march through if the Eastern flank does not get any real help from the rest of the EU then they might as well allow Russians to bypass freely to Germany
