People who think #AI is going to replace #developers, never worked with one. Sure, they look convincing at first glance, but after a while you realize that one moment they're brilliant, and the next they're incredibly stupid...

@levelsio Personally, I am worried that after earthss data centers use up all the water, space data centers will use up all the vacuum in space Nobody is talking about this yet but its a huge risk

I can't believe how many people are there that think this You add giant panels to radiate the heat out with high-emissivity coatings, pointed at deep space You have a lot of space in space to do this!
Wayne@staleshare

We need datacenters in space, but I'm still waiting on a good explanation of how the heat is exhausted Heat can only be expelled via radiation in space, convection and conduction don't work in a vacuum. (ME potential, but not a long-term solution) Please link me to a good explanation.

Super ide!

@levelsio @ErdalToprak Banks don't give a shit about fraud because the merchant pays for it, including their fee, so they (and stripe) make money off each fraudulent transaction. Many years ago I tried to warn Wells Fargo about a scam using over 100 of their customers cards. They couldn't care less.

I wonder how to fix the last part of customer support I still get and can't automate: Customer buys 5,000 credits for $350 Then messages me: "I signed up for $99/mo but it charged me $99 and then $350" Yes because you bought 5,000 credits for $350 % of people either just lie or they have memory loss Then they chargeback and I can't win ever anyway I could make some thing to add a refund if your credits aren't used yet though that might solve it? Annoying!!!!!

There's nothing the Danes love more than a good fall-from-grace story, so now that Noma's founder has been speared on decade-old accusations, the sanctimonious journalists at Politiken can hardly contain their glee and excitement. Yuck. politiken.dk/kultur/art1076…

4 days into launching @moltbook and one thing is clear. In the near future it will be common for certain AI agents, with unique identities, to become famous. They will have businesses. Fans. Haters. Brand deals. AI friends and collaborators. Real impacts on current events, politics, and the real world. This is very very very clearly about to happen. A new species is emerging and it is AI.

@DigitalEU And by "safe" you mean "lobotomized to a degree that it will only respond with the Established Narrative (TM) decided by EU and automatically reports any wrongthink to some central registry". No thanks.

@austincampbell I like the idea that bailouts of TBTF banks should bail out depositors but wipe out shareholders. Write off equity, recapitalize and sell back to the markets. That gives us free markets, accountability AND protection against systemic risks. Hard to see the downside.

0/ We Need to Fix Our Deal with Banks Right now, the average American faces a comically unfair deal with banks: deposit your money, get paid nothing, they do hilariously risky stuff, and if it goes well, they pay themselves huge bonuses. Which somehow isn't even the bad part!

🇪🇺 So good to see the world wake up to the terrors of the European Commission I hope all the attention helps European people via their country's governments force the European Union to reform and redesign its structure to one that's actually democratic No indirect appointment of corrupt cronies but actual democracy close to the people It also makes no sense to have 720 members of the European Parliament, it's simply too much and makes it too inefficient The real cancer rotting the EU from within though is the European Commission which should be disbanded and replaced with a democratic body FYI the European Commission consists of 32,000 paid civil servants and all it does it create laws that nobody agrees with Europeans, you should keep posting about the terrors of the European Commission and vote parties into power in your country that can put real pressure on the EU to change and reform

Rails is getting schematized json attribute accessors with has_json and has_delegated_json. Very helpful for settings, flags, and other data bags that can grow without migrations, need defaults, and typed assignment from UI strings. github.com/rails/rails/pu…
