@forgebitz The idea that companies will do everything successfully now because they can build everything is kinda silly
Because some companies could already do that before, but didnt
English

@forgebitz Apple had 90 billion in cash back in 2020
Before AI
Sure development was a bit more expensive but they could have copied any company
Yet they still chose to focus
English

@forgebitz Xerox is still around and 90% of what they do is copy....
English

copying is the final stage of a dying startup
as soon as you see them copy your landing page
they start copying features
every month, they get more behind, lose more clients and slowly churn eats them away
products are shaped by market demand, eventually things end up similar, but you can always filter out the copycats

good example of when the "sabotage" name feels...less than ideal.
here's my family medical app (keptwell.org) in the app store and seeing the word "sabotage" sprinkled throughout doesn't exactly convey safety.

Josh Pigford@Shpigford
my holding company legal entity has been "Sabotage Media LLC" for nearly 20 years. but in the past ~6 months i've started getting complaints almost weekly of people saying that seeing that in legal docs, or app store listing names made them second guess/worry. what's the play?

@zhenbailian @levelsio what exactly do you mean when you say frontend?
as in developing frontedn stuff
or the codex frontend itself?
English

@pbertrand_dev @levelsio problem is codex rocks at everything but frontend so there’s always some patchwork left, but it’s generally great
cursor is great as well if you prefer in-editor
English

@thdxr maybe people dont know what to build with ai so they just do this
English

@jabolins thanks for sharing
i didnt see this paper before lol
but im not suprised that others concluded the same
English

@DmytroKrasun @aurelien_dio yup
there are external factors, but my point is that they are there for everyone
so its good to be aware of it but also good to try to ignore it
English

@aurelien_dio @pbertrand_dev That’s what I notice in myself, too 😆

There is no point in complaining about the algorithm.
It is no different from meeting a group of friends and getting upset that nobody notices you or that the conversation is boring.
You either:
1. Leave.
2. Change the conversation.
3. Pay attention to what people actually care about.
Complaining might even give you the desired attention short term, but long term building on that is a dead end.

DNS propagation can test your patience. What is the longest you have ever waited for a DNS change to propagate globally? #CloudflareChat

@DmytroKrasun the reality is that others did mange to improve their rating
even though they had the same chance of playing with noobs/morons
English

@DmytroKrasun people love to blame outside influences for their lack of success
it reminds me of playing dota. people would complain all the time that the got teamed up with noobs/morons so they couldnt improve their rating
