This renewable obsession must stop. Pauline Hanson calls on the Albanese Govt. to get real. We need fuel and gas not fantasy renewables that leave us import dependent and broke. Look at Norway - they’ve turned North Sea oil into a sovereign wealth fund worth trillions. Almost $400 000 per person. Yet here we have nothing but a debt approaching a trillion dollars. Why do we have to settle for poverty when we’ve got riches.

Albanese seems to think the gas companies are charitable institutions who love handing out pennies to the poor. When in fact they are the most ruthless profit-takers, here for one reason alone, working against the public interest, plundering our national resources, sending most of both the gas and the profits overseas, laughing at Australia all the way to the bank. May the ghost of Rex Connor haunt him till his end days… “Mr Albanese says the industry pays company taxes and royalties, on top of the Petroleum Resource Rent Tax (PRRT). "They pay around about $22 billion a year and, importantly, … you do need to acknowledge the tens of billions of dollars of investment that occurs in order to have that gas extracted," Mr Albanese told. "And without that investment, that's come from North America and Japan, we wouldn't be having a debate because there wouldn't have been that extraction occur." (All of which are the best arguments for nationalising the gas industry and keeping 100% of profits from our gas here.) abc.net.au/news/2026-04-2…

Israel killed every single person in this photo in Lebanon. Every. Single. One. All journalists. Targeted and assassinated intentionally. For reporting the truth from the frontlines.

The PM and other major party politicians are getting their figures from the gas industry rather than the ATO and Treasury 🤯 Whose side are they on? When you try and interrogate these figures from the gas lobby you get “PAGE NOT FOUND”. You cannot make this stuff up! Head to ourgas.com.au to get involved. The only way we win this is if the major parties know they will continue to lose votes at the next election if they don't put Australians first.

UQP pulped an Indigenous book because the illustrator expressed views about Israel? Not because of the book's content, but because the illustrator dared to express a view? What the actual fuck?

@Jansant @AlboMP Meanwhile, Lebanese journalist Amal Khalil just killed in an Israeli strike in Lebanon, the Israeli army firing at ambulances trying to reach her, delaying her rescue. How is Australia not calling out this aggression, distancing itself from the nation perpetrator & invader

Woodside chair Richard Goyder announcing they have abandoned the agenda at today’s AGM and will deal with questions on all resolutions as one job lot. Poor form. They ignored my audit tender question after calling separately for auditor questions.

Why is Segal billing tax payers for first class and business class flights for secret meetings in Israel, @AlboMP? #auspol #springst

Special thanks @jommy_tee We now find out taxpayers forked out $61, 736.68 for special Envoy Jillian Segal's trip to Israel. "But no one can explain or will reveal details of the purpose of the trip." $440,000 salary, $61, 736.68 + offices + staff. Jillian sure is "special"

David Pocock beside himself as Shell’s Cecile Wake insists she doesn’t know Shell’s revenue, or how much gas they export, while she fronts an inquiry on Gas Exports. Sarah Hanson-Young: “What did you think we were going to be asking you about today?” 🔥🙄 #auspol

It doesn't matter that Iran's bridges and power plants are supposedly "dual use," meaning soldiers might drive over bridges or use electricity. It is still a war crime for Trump to target them because the harm to civilians would be disproportionate. trib.al/nsVRe0F

Let that sink in. Japan raises more tax on gas imports than Australia does on the same gas we export. The Laborials/Liborials really are letting our country down.
Roderick Campbell@R_o_d_C

Japan raises more tax revenue from Australian gas exports than Australia does. Japan has a tax on gas and coal imports that raises more money than Aus PRRT. Great new research out today @TheAusInstitute australiainstitute.org.au/report/taxing-…

A retired lawyer in the U.S. was watching the news when he saw the story about the new Trump commemorative coin and something immediately didn't sit right with him. So he did what lawyers do. He went digging... And he found it. A federal law passed in 1866 that explicitly prohibits living people from appearing on U.S. currency. It's not a grey area. It's not open to interpretation. It's been sitting in the books for over 150 years. The last time this actually happened was 1926 when a coin featuring Calvin Coolidge was minted while he was still alive and serving as president. The backlash was immediate. The coins were pulled. And the law was reaffirmed... Now this retired lawyer has filed a federal lawsuit against the U.S. Mint not because of who is on the coin, but because the law says it simply cannot be done. Full stop... No political agenda. No protest. Just one guy, a dusty legal statute, and a federal case that nobody in Washington apparently saw coming
