Look at Norway - they’ve turned North Sea oil into a sovereign wealth fund worth trillions. Almost $400 000 per person. Yet here we have nothing but a debt approaching a trillion dollars. Why do we have to settle for poverty when we’ve got riches.

Albanese seems to think the gas companies are charitable institutions who love handing out pennies to the poor. When in fact they are the most ruthless profit-takers, here for one reason alone, working against the public interest, plundering our national resources, sending most of both the gas and the profits overseas, laughing at Australia all the way to the bank.
