Probably my least favorite trope of all time is the 'good job breaking it heroes' IE the one where they go on their quest and deliver everything the bad guy needs to do whatever dastardly thing he has planned. as someone who was the perfect age to consider him my generation's Great Movie Star his post-DARK KNIGHT RISES run of projects has been nothing short of calamitous. I can only assume working with David O Russell gave him the acting equivalent of CTE and he's just never recovered.
