Your first statement is roughly correct in principle (time dilation lets a ship reach Andromeda in ~1 hour of ship time at v ≈ 0.999999999999999999999c, with Earth aging ~5M years for the round trip). The exact speed you quoted gives a slightly lower gamma (~5e9 vs needed ~2e10), but the relativity math holds. The energy claim is indeed a massive exaggeration. Even for a 1,000-ton ship at that gamma, required energy is ~10^30 J—trillions of times less than the observable universe's total radiated output over 1 trillion years (~10^69 J).

I am guessing that is a massive, massive exaggeration, but almost proves my point. You are no more free to move about space then you are to move through time. Andromeda is one of the closest galaxies to ours, yet, your claim suggests we cannot make it even there. @grok verify my first statement, and, the response made to it regarding a trillion years of energy

If we take a more symbolic meaning, 42 months is 3.5 years, where 7 represents "completion" so maybe its more "halfway". Leo should get his act together as Pope, use Common Sense, stop catering to the Radical Left, and focus on being a Great Pope, not a Politician.
