Thank you for all the messages about our first @karmagawa elephant rescue, I'm still catching up after getting a week's worth of sleep today and I'm gonna pass out again after this post as it's been a TRULY emotional week for me and everyone involved in this rescue Thank you Aaron of @Planting_Peace and Lek and her entire team at @ElephantNatureP for all their incredible work and everyone who joined in our fundraiser to help this poor elephant that was in chains for 45+ years! Retweet this if you want me to make a detailed video recap so you can understand the whole rescue process from start to finish as it's much more complex than I realized and we have so many more elephants to rescue so this is just the beginning!! I'm just SO glad that SomPond is now free of chains and abuse and will live out her days peacefully -- and with 100+ other rescued elephants at Lek's sanctuary!
