@Plumpy_ramos @cota12 I am local and these are good suggestions. If you go to Hutchins get a Texas Twinkie.

@Marie_Haynes Standardized formats are always a good thing, and the people talking about using their personal Obsidian vaults are missing the point. Slap a MCP on the front of this and add it to the org's LLM/MCP gateway so that it doesn't need to be managed at project-level.

This is really big news. Google introduced the Open Knowledge Format (OKF) - a standardized way to store information in a directory of markdown files. Makes it really easy to make a digital brain that agents can use. These files can serve as a living wiki. You can give agents the ability to query them or edit them. They can interlink. Seems to me this could replace Notion or Obsidian. I can think of so many uses for this. Google's blog post: cloud.google.com/blog/products/… An easier to understand explanation is the SPEC.md file: github.com/GoogleCloudPla… I gave those two links to Antigravity and asked how we could use it for any of the projects we're working on. It came up with so many ideas. I would imagine Claude Fable 5 would whip up some pretty amazing things based on this system. Currently creating an OKF library of our pepper garden. It's going to be a fun weekend.

@TickleTexts @kangminlee The cheesesteak burrito is better than the bbq at Buc-ee’s. I get it like once every couple of weeks. The bbq there is mid af.

@systemdesignone Because a lot of companies use Microsoft stack for everything else. Teams, Outlook, Sharepoint, Entra, etc are a stranglehold.

@Pirat_Nation Nothing is stopping a publisher from managing their own distribution or marketing. The comparison to Apple or Google is a false equivalency because Valve is not standing in anybody’s way at the OS-level. Competitors need to give a reason for customers to want to leave Steam.

Consumer Competition Claims (CCC), through GameClaim, has launched a new class action against Valve in the Netherlands. The group claims Valve controls around 85% of the PC game market and uses rules that make it harder for developers to sell games cheaper on other stores. It also argues that Steam’s 30% cut on game sales is too high and shows anti-competitive behaviour. According to CCC, Dutch gamers have paid more than they should due to these practices, with total damages estimated at over €220 million since 2013.. The group says it will first try to reach a settlement with Valve. If that fails, the case could go to court and may take several years to resolve.

If you invested $1000 in Zillow stock on this day in June of 2021, your investment today is worth ~$294 A 70% loss. This is not a normal, healthy, or recovered real estate market—don’t let anyone gaslight you into thinking it is just because prices mostly held up

@mfranz_on A Raspberry Pi made sense several years ago when they were only $35, but that is no longer the case. For $200 you can get mini pc and not have to deal with any of the many annoyances that come with a Pi.

@plainionist @TheRajPriyam Not necessarily. Clankers want to use all of the context. So reduce probability of failure by limiting context. Good: example SQL queries made from views that only contain needed columns. Bad: same query but using underlying tables.

Serious question: Do you still see recent models producing “AI slop”? Or is it mostly a context problem now? 🤔

@ThomasNuckles @AmanitaFugax The counting would need to be done in-person, with oversight from the county. No releasing records into the void. They come to count and then they leave. There is no reason to take the records unless there are dishonest intentions.

Republicans will never accept a nationwide election loss again. Doesn’t matter if you get rid of mail voting, doesn’t matter if everyone has ID. The goalposts will always move. They have Pavlov’d themselves into believing they cannot lose a fair election.
