@RebaSuperfan @PaulTassi Not at all, people are upset the creators of titanfall and apex are making a completely separate hero/raid shooter or whatever they want to call it, than something within the titanfall universe. If it was something in the titanfall universe and not a hero shooter they’d like it

@ACSoverride @The__Unyielding modern arena shooters almost never hold a playerbase unfortunately bc people just go back to Quake Live, it's honestly a miracle Champions has held a playerbase this long. And ill always be bummed about UT4, that game was a blast and could have been an awesome full release

@ACSoverride @The__Unyielding Quake Champions is probably the most populated one and it's a lot of fun. And Titanfall 2 is a ton of fun if you want a movement game but it's not an arena shooter. Awhile back people were excited about Diabotical but I have no idea how that's doing these days

Even amazing devs get laid off pretty frequently, like if a project sells great but not quite as well as the last one - layoffs. tough job tbh

Accounting, believe it or not. the underemployment rate is about as low as for mechanical engineering majors. everyone is scared off because they think it requires great math skill when it doesn't. everyone thinks AI will devour the field when it can't, either :)

If you were advising a widely-talented 17yo today who wanted the safest path to the upper middle class what college major would you recommend? I genuinely don't know. The world is changing a lot. It's probably not computer science. Maybe it's mechanical engineering or math?

@CJ_Haslett @shagbark_hick Super common yeah, almost all the Amish in Lancaster PA at least have bank accounts, debit cards, etc. and a lot of stands will use stripe or something
They adopt a lot more tech than you might think at first

One very insane thing I learned when my wife and I stayed with the Amish last winter was this:
I was reading an Amish mail order catalog; when I saw toys, I knelt down to show the kids. They were fascinated by them, but when the "toy trucks" page came up, the boys went nuts.
Amish kids LOVE trucks. And these particular kids live at the dead end of a dirt road, where trucks don't really ever go. Their dad doesn't drive. They've likely never been in a truck. Certainly no one taught them to like trucks. They'll never drive, either. But boy, they love those trucks...
Makes you wonder if there's some kind of hard-wired biological fascination with huge machinery, giant rolling vehicles, etc.

still thinking about this and realizing-- i bet this isnt uncommon for women-- the idea of acting like this and jiggling my boobas for some random guy makes me wanna rope but the idea of learning these skills if it brings my bf even the tiniest bit of joy is extremely compelling

@All_Lee24 Got the worlds luckiest Libra run where all 3 of us had Vyke’s spear, the ash of war on that will chunk about an 8th of his healthbar every time it procs and he gets stunned and covers his eyes w the same animation that a tarnished gets when madness procs

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a frenzy weapon that wasn’t an incantation on a seal, curious to see what the debuff is for Libra cause I have genuinely no clue

@TeqINTL You’re usually gonna want to see them post healed art as well if they’re a good artist, they’ll usually have a handful of posts that are like “2 years healed” etc which is a good sign.

Doom The Dark Ages thoughts so far, opening feels a bit slow and easy and I wasn't quite sure if I was vibing it but a few hours in its all starting to come together. Some of the arsenal feels a bit weird, like both of the plasma guns seem to fill the same role? Idk.
