@justnyxs As someone that hates openworld games so didn’t even play this but tried the first game, I only have 2 reasonz, 1 being the openworld (imo) is bad, I doubt forbidden west has that better of a world opposed to zero dawn, and my personal reason is ion fuck witch ‘tech’ creatures

Horizon Forbidden West is one of the few games that gets hated for no reason. Give me 3 solid reasons why this game isn't one of the best of this decade. I'll wait.

@Namatnieks Will have plenty of exploration in store too. Most people want to see bosses and combat when they see new soulslike gameplay. We’ll focus on showing more exploration when we start sharing longer gameplay clips.

To me almost every new soulslike falls flat, because it feels like the devs are focusing on the wrong things and that is extremely elaborate, ultra difficulty boss fights. Sure DS1 was sorta difficult, but to me it was more about the exploration. That's where it absolutely shone

Hot take… I think all non FromSoftware “Souls likes” … kinda suck. Most really suck. Yes I’m including Lies Of P and yes I’m including The First Berserker: Khazan. Before you come at me. I’ve played them all and I’ve beaten them all. So suck deeeez 🥜

@AshenOne_VI I have a swotch 2 and not excited fornit (despite getting switch2 for it mainly) Imo, I don’t see a game like this work on switch 2 AT ALL… I will still buy it, probably still enjoy it, probably still consider it ‘worth’, but I will always hold that ‘I wish it wasn’t exclusive

Tomorrow is The Duskbloods Day. I’ll be covering the Nintendo Direct, so expect plenty of posts. 👀 Serious question: How many of you are interested in The Duskbloods? And how many would buy a Switch 2 just for it? I can’t decide if this game is going to move consoles or if the exclusivity will hold it back. If it were a single-player game, I think the chances would be much higher. As a multiplayer-focused title, though, I’m not so sure it’ll convince many people to buy a whole new console. What’s your prediction?

@thundershock24 @JG16Burner It wouldn't really feel like a pirate game the same way Fishing Hamlet doesn't feel like a pirate area. That's my point. At some point, you'd have to incorporate something dealing with piracy to the game.

@LordofCinder24 @JG16Burner I feel like ‘i want piraye souls’ is more of a soulslike in a pirate setting, than what you think (ie ships, boarding islands etc) Think of a normal darksouls like map, but on a large island (with some connected islands you travel with ship instead of coffin)

@JG16Burner No, I don't.... It doesn't make sense in terms of what Fromsoftware does with Souls mechanics...so what the fuck would the "piracy" be in the game? It's a stupid concept and would be a useless aesthetic. Just make a Bloodborne 2.
