Robotaxi rides without any safety monitors are now publicly available in Austin. Starting with a few unsupervised vehicles mixed in with the broader robotaxi fleet with safety monitors, and the ratio will increase over time.

I really hope autonomous driving won't crowd out human driving. I fear that FSD will start to threaten human drivers. First by reduce insurance cost vs human driving, then slowly there will be less human drivers, and human driver insurance will go up, or worst, insurance will refuse to insure human drivers. Overtime I am afraid laws will change to restrict human driving over arguments of safety. I think driving is a fundamental human right in America, and I hope the progression of FSD will improve human freedom, and not suppress it.
