@1TommEBoi @DrewThatsWho @BadCallOfficial Not necessarily. There are ways to save the ball and it be the start of your dribble and continue your dribble once retrieving the ball. As long as the player uses 1 hand and does not carry the ball on the initial save and retrieval then you can’t call a double dribble

This was called a backcourt violation. The ball never goes backcourt. The offensive player establishes himself in the front court with two feet prior to touching the ball. That’s a bad call.

@cchoka @mitchgoldich It was smart to keep the throw-ins in the backcourt. A front court throw in with a few seconds left and fouls to give has the possibility of a shooting foul so non-shooting fouls are hard at that point.

@mitchgoldich The execution was so bad. St. John’s was always gonna run it down for last shot. Why start the fouling so early? Insanely dumb.

Kansas deserved to lose on a buzzer beater after taking four intentional fouls in the final 13 seconds of a tie game. There, I said it.

@DrewThatsWho @BadCallOfficial You can also save the ball from going out of bounds and be the first one to touch it if your momentum takes you out of bounds and you re-establish back in bounds. Why do you pretend to know the rules when you haven’t read a rule book?

@BadCallOfficial You have never been able to save the ball and be the first person to touch it. Once you cross half court, it essentially becomes a fourth out-of-bounds line and the rules still apply.

After getting treated to Vanderbilt-Nebraska last night, we were due for a slugfest. This has been a brutal watch to be honest. I suppose you could say good defense but this is a pretty ugly game to watch

Omg bill self does not know the rules of backcourt. Did you see him argue that wasn’t a backcourt??!!! What a mess of a program. #marchmadness

@BleedBNetwork @wufyfab Either team can call a timeout while the ball is considered dead. The ball becomes live after a made basket when the ball is at the disposal of the player throwing the ball in. It has nothing to do with once UK has the ball. You have to use the words in the rulebook

By rule, Herb Sendek couldn’t call time out. So argument #1 is dead. The clock didn’t delay in starting. Argument #2 dead. The haters have simply outed themselves to be non ball knowing haters.

@kminnicksports Everyone did that moaning and complaining but now Rutgers Prep the #1 seed has to drive 1 hour and 20 mins to Lenape. Smh they should of just left it the way it was. It's unfortunate but should not been changed a couple days before.

Part 1: This map should help illustrate why picking neutral sites in South Jersey Non-Public A is a difficult task. Used the boys for the example. The green are schools classified in North while the Red are schools classified in South.

@Coach_Daaiyah7 NJ needs to abandon the north and south non public a and b sections. Just do it like the public schools and have a south, central and 2 north jersey sections. No need for an a and b for non public

The way I’m about to crash out at the NJSIAA is insane. They really moved our game to Lenape thus having the 1 seed travel over an hour(which we do either way) to play the 2 seed who only is 30 minutes away from Lenape is blasphemy. This is ridiculous.

@JamieShaw5 NJ public has 4 sections per group and 4 groups (based on enrollment). Each can call themselves a state sectional champion Throw in 2 x 2 for non-public and you get 4 more So 20 champions. (That’s just boys) They continue playing through for Group and entire state champions

@dandakich If a referee has too many incorrect calls then it doesn’t matter how much the B10 coach likes them

Dirty little secret in college hoops Referees Pay MAC game pays refs $2000-$2500 per game Big Ten pays refs $2800-$4200 per game Who do you think refs want to keep happy? The MAC coach or the Big 10 coach? Easy answer When MAC teams go to B10 arena's the fucking is legendary (got a nasty nasty call from bosses at ESPN for saying this on air...the B10 Commish Delaney was pissed I exposed this)
Dan Dakich@dandakich

If the MAC is a soft touch as a hoops league why are Big 10 schools so damn afraid of a legit home and home series? Schools are close Travel is easy Dont give me the “NET” “quad 1 or quad 4” bullshit… Big 10 schools have been chickenshit to go to MAC arenas way before “NET” … @MiamiOH_BBall deserves to be in period Don’t At Me

@KoreyYarc @EricFawcett_ That's a different game state. A defensive player could jump out of bounds to save a ball as well.

Very interesting rule loophole here from Charleston... With 1.9 seconds remaining Charleston has a player right on the ball, reaching over the end line ready to receive it. The defense tips it away, and the referee assesses a delay of game warning--if I understand correctly, the rules allow the offense to reach over the end line but NOT the defense. UNC Wilmington is forced to allow the inbounds pass and foul.

This is funny (in response to Kipp’s crazy schedule) and something I think about regularly. You wonder how many often there are travel issues for referees and there has to be a last minute sub (where we in the public don’t even know the replacement happened).

@alan_daniel @bbritt237 The loophole is that the offensive player is allowed to reach over the boundary line before the ball is thrown in while the defensive player is not allowed to reach over the boundary line in the vicinity of the throw in before the ball is thrown in

New strategy! Up 1 with 1.9 left. CC inbounds ball. Their player stood just inbounds with his arms extended over baseline. Made pass to him and defender reached over line to deflect ball. Delay of game. CCdid same thing and UNCW alllowed pass-had to foul. A loophole in rules!!

@OfficialKEmmons @The_Labb4 And strength of schedule clearly doesn’t matter. All CH East’s non conference games are against teams they clearly can beat. Kudos to the coach for finding a work around but horrible integrity for the game. And Lenape crushed them on Tuesday.
