We've been taking performance very seriously. This architectural change should make everything feel better for ya'll. Lots more to come. 🫡
Felix Rieseberg@felixrieseberg

A small ship I love: We made Claude.ai and our desktop apps meaningful faster this week. We moved our architecture from SSR to a static @vite_js & @tan_stack router setup that we can serve straight from workers at the edge. Time to first byte is down 65% at p75, prompts show up 50% sooner, navigation is snappier. We're not done (not even close!) but we care and we'll keep chipping away. Aiming to make Claude a little better every day.

I am hearing tons of complaints from Cursor customers at enterprise companies: A silent change put almost all models Cursor uses behind Max mode. Devs who used to manage to “spread out” monthly credits over a month see all of it used up in 1-2 days. Are furious + switching.

@GergelyOrosz It’s the same issue with the regular 20 dollar plan. You run out in like 2 days

@edwinarbus @cursor_ai Cursor harness is great, especially for Gemini. I’ve found that Gemini just spirals and loops forever a lot in other harnesses. Only thing is Claude code is just way cheaper for me

Matt Maher tested frontier models in Cursor v. other harnesses. Cursor boosted model performance by 11% on average: Gemini: 52% → 57% GPT-5.4: 82% → 88% Opus: 77% → 93% His benchmark measures how well models implement a 100-feature PRD. @cursor_ai consistently outperformed.

iOS 27 will reportedly not feature any major changes to Liquid Glass Apple will instead focus on performance improvements and stability with iOS 27 Source: @markgurman

it was initially made for ClaudeAI chat and tbh not very used so didn't make sense to make it great Cowork and Claude Code Desktop happened really fast and the teams have been hustling on bugs, feature parity, etc. but we have a lot of perf stuff coming, excited for you to try

Claude’s desktop app is a joke. UI, UX, performance - everything about it is bad. I don’t understand how a company with infinite money can’t hire someone, or at least allocate resources, to fix it. Compared to it, the Codex app is a masterpiece.

the Codex app now has themes choose from some classics like Catppucin, Monokai, and Solarized. or try themes built with some partners from Linear, Notion, and OpenClaw among others. or make your own and share it this was a bit of a personal side quest that i’ve been thinking about for a long time. we’re doing themes a bit differently! a few notes:

> use cursor > cursor team started shipping too many updates > cursor started sucking > users move on from cursor > cursors fixes bugs > user happy with cursor cursor was legitimately unusable at one point... now it's pretty smooth... it's not "hype"
Juampi.eth@HooCrypto

> Use cursor > Everyone starts shitting on cursor and evangelizing a new editor > Tries another editor just for hype (you don’t like it as much) > Everyone now shitting the new editor cause trends ase cyclical > Go back to cursor to realize, it just work great! (And always did)

@4pro99 @JustJake @dillon_mulroy I think you're underestimating how insanely powerful modern machines have become. a lot of the work that used to take distributed systems and complex architectures can be run on way simpler systems today a 1m DAU user app today isn't scale
