Just finished watching “The Backrooms” .. This movie is going to do REALLY well for a moment because people are on such a high from how good “Obsession” was that they want to experience something like that again. With that being said. It’s going to get trashed endlessly beyond repair outside of a small “cult” community that’s going to say that they liked it just to be different and that everyone else “just didn’t get it.” The most disappointing part of it all was how much potential it has to be FANTASTIC. If I wasn’t with my cousin I would have walked out not even halfway through. Let down for sure and I don’t like to hate on art especially from a first time director but I gotta remind myself art is subjective and meant to garner different opinions good or bad.
