@mykael_yuddy SATS are responsible for moving about 1% of global data. Not satelloons...
English

"Man has never gone to space because there is no space. There is nothing up there. It's all a hoax".
Imagine typing all of this while actively using a smartphone - that relies on systems that fundamentally depend on space-based infrastructure.
Your phone's GPS works because of satellites in orbit. Without them, location services (maps, ride apps, delivery tracking) would not function accurately.
A huge portion of global communication - especially international data transfer - relies on satellites alongside undersea cables.
Weather forecasting depends heavily on satellite imaging. Storm tracking, rainfall prediction, and climate monitoring would be drastically worse without them.
Live TV broadcasts, some internet services, and emergency communications all depend on satellites.
You don't have to trust NASA or any single space agency. But you are already trusting the technology built on orbital mechanics every time your phone connects, navigates, or updates.
Stupid 😆
English

@alexboge I guess Moore's Law doesn't apply to space tech.
English

@86Mockingbird Just say you’re a retarded conspiracy addict, it’s quicker, moron
English

Denial is virulent. It spreads and it resists correction.
It’s fascinating to me how, as technology continues to advance and the gap between what we once imagined and what we can actually do keeps shrinking, the time it takes for deniers to admit they were wrong only seems to grow. Their confidence grows with it.
On October 9, 1903, the New York Times suggested it could take one to ten million years for humans to achieve powered flight.
On December 17 of that same year, the Wright brothers flew, just 69 days later.
It took the New York Times three years to admit they were wrong.
⸻
Similarly, in 1920, the New York Times mocked Robert Goddard and the idea that rockets could function in the vacuum of space, implying he didn’t even understand basic high school physics, as if a rocket needed air to push against.
In 1969, Apollo 11 landed on the Moon using those exact principles.
The Times finally corrected itself, 49 years later.
⸻
We are now 56 years past that Moon landing, and there are still people insisting it never happened, even as we prepare to return.
⸻
But all of that stands in pale comparison to the ultimate expression of willful ignorance: flat earthers.
The ancient Greeks understood the Earth was a sphere over 2,300 years ago, using principles we still rely on today.
And here we are, watching flat earthers flood the comment sections of every positive Artemis post, continuing to spread and demonstrate their complete ignorance of science and their detachment from reality.
⸻
3 years.
49 years.
56 years and counting.
2,300+ years.
And still, some refuse to catch up.
Denial is pernicious. It embeds, and it persists.

@ChrisMartzWX Them "why should we pay taxes, it all goes to corruption?"
Also them "RAISE TAXES!"
English

Billionaires don't make your life miserable.
Government, however, does because of burdensome regulations and ever-increasing taxes.
Most billionaires are CEOs of companies that provide products and services that have improved the quality of life.
You don't really hate billionaires for having money. You envy of them because you're a loser who has accomplished nothing in life.

I don't believe the Earth is flat, yet I seem to be the only person around here who has actually VERIFIED this experimentally, using optical measurements of the size of the moon from the point of view of Earth. The measurements easily disprove Flat Earth theory as it is popularly described.
Yet, nearly 100% of those who mock flat Earth people have NEVER bothered to check it out themselves. They just stupidly believe whatever NASA and their high school science teacher told them, without testing anything or thinking critically.
At least the flat Earth people are willing to ask questions about the nature of our world. It's not retarded to ask questions. It's retarded to stupidly believe whatever "authorities" tell you without checking it out yourself.
The vast majority of people today just automatically believe the CDC, the FDA, NASA, the White House, etc., without a single critical thought. And then they call other people stupid for daring to challenge the status quo.
If you've actually PROVEN that the Earth isn't flat, firsthand, through logic and reason and observable evidence, then I give you kudos. But almost nobody has done that. Chime in if you have!
English

@HealthRanger You can easily verify the curvature by watching ships at sea, or buildings on the central plains.
Never did understand how people can foolishly believe the flat earth theory.
English

@MantisFlower @Rothmus Heads up, there's an original without it.
English

@Rothmus The "gorgeous" spherical earth and "space" in question is just green screen, time to move one get a real problem.
English

@sosysiskifree @_sn_n BTW, I couldn't care less of anyone's orientation and do not have a dog in this fight.
English

why would god make gay people then?

The history of nasa. I used to get so frustrated that people couldn’t see it, now I’m almost wary. The whole world just learned about Israel, shadow government, the uniparty etc. Some are melting down. Wait til they find out we also aren’t on a spinning ball and your ancestor wasn’t a monkey.
The key is forgiveness. Forgive whoever told it to you because they almost certainly believed it too. And forgive yourself as the child who felt like something was off and you went with it out of blind trust.
Everyone does that. Then your identity gets tied to lies and the truth feels like a personal attack. It’s not.
Forgiveness is so important. Most importantly forgive yourself. People will scream at you and degrade you for forgiving yourself and saying what you believe is true. Forgive them as well. They are still seeing thru the eyes of those who said the same thing to them.
Something miraculous happens when you forgive. Your ancestors, even tho they aren’t here, heal. I can’t explain it but I’ve felt it. A wave goes back in time as well as forwards.
And on this Easter, when thinking about the gift that Jesus truly brought this world. It’s forgiveness and healing. He gave a permanent reset to anyone who accepts it. Doesn’t mean there isn’t pain or consequence. But the ability to choose life over death. Gratitude over spite. Hope over shame. Peace over war.
Happy Easter everyone. He has risen. And I don’t regurgitate that for some rediculous social benefit or to be part of a group. A ton of Christian’s don’t consider me Christian. That’s ok.
But I what he has risen means. He rose so you can as well. Now rise.

@OwenBenjamin The old "my dog ate my telemetry data" line...
English

“We can’t leave earth”
- We have
“Space exploration is fake. NASA is using CGI”
- But you actively use GPS everyday (Bolt, Yango, Uber).
“There are no satellites in space”
- But when they tell you it will rain, you ran inside
- You watch TV
- You use heart monitors
“Okay if NASA is real, explain this (attaches an edited video of Buzz Aldrin 🤣) ”
- Your videos are altered or taken out of context, full videos are available to watch. Go and search
On top of it all, whether you believe or not, they’ll keep funding NASA with your money and there’s nothing you can do about it.

One last look at Earth before we reach the Moon. This view of the Earth was captured on April 5, the fourth day of the Artemis II mission, from inside the Orion spacecraft. The four astronauts will reach their closest approach of the Moon tomorrow, April 6.
English

@Uncommonsince76 Facebook was made by darpa (original project name: lifelog) which is "Run" by cia puppet Mark Zuckerjew.. look up when lifelog ended and when Facebook began.
English

@OwenBenjamin I just got abducted by aliens looking for their kids bike. Coincidence?
English

No clue but I guarantee he’s black and he’s NOT coming home
Bronze Giant@RjNol
If there were 4 astronauts on the Artemis II mission, who was filming? Did the camera make that movement, ending in a close-up on Earth, because of zero gravity?🤔
English

@TowM8r1 @ChrisMartzWX You're vote doesnt count for shit. If voting mattered they wouldn't let us do it. Fixing elections was invented the same day as elections.
English

@86Mockingbird @ChrisMartzWX Next you’ll be claiming billionaires’ votes count more than mine. Try harder.
English

Billionaires have too much influence on the government, yes.
They should not be able to donate large sums of money to political campaigns.
Lobbying should also be outlawed.
But the fact is that billionaires EARNED their wealth.
You didn't.
Therefore, you're NOT entitled to their money.
Hope this helps.
Dave@DaveOfEP
@ChrisMartzWX Billionaires control the government.
English

@LNGFrankie @ChrisMartzWX The op said we didnt have proof till the 60s. But how did they get the land mapped put so perfectly without satellites?
English

We had proof 2300 years ago.
We've had globe models of the world for 2200 years.
We have a surviving globe model made in 1492.
We did not have satellites until 1957. They also proved the earth was a globe, but they were not the first to do so, and certainly not a requirement to have a globe model.
English

@GuruOfGroove @ChrisMartzWX Mostly by people most of us have never heard of.
Look into these groups and their histories:
Club of Rome
International Monetary Fund
Council of Foreign Relations
The Committee of 300
Tavistock Institute

@86Mockingbird @ChrisMartzWX Perhaps. But also… blackmailed by whom?
