@Michael203W8 @KipHenley 12 hour days doing nothing but swinging... even if you include chips and pitches... maybe for a week but 4 in a row there is no way. This doesnt even take weather into account

@KipHenley Totally agree. If you do the math and assume 20 second cycle time per shot (approach, address, swing, see), it equates to 1.3m seconds, 21,000 minutes, 361 hours. If you hit balls for 8 hours a day (insane) you’d only be at 240 hours for a month

I will go off the board for a Hunerd bucks and say, NO HUMAN HAS EVER HIT 65,000 BALLS IN A MONTH EVER. Just for reference! Those big yellow buckets we all saw when we were younger. They hold 275 if they are filled to the brim. You almost don’t have time to hit 10 of those in a day. If you did, I promise you ain’t doing it the 2nd day and D sure ain’t doing it 30 days in a row.

Jack Nicklaus once hit over 65,000 golf balls on the range in a month & his dad got the bill to prove it. 💵 📺 youtu.be/tuvYpRnW9u8 #PGAChamp

Just quickly put together a table based on the following rules: - 3 points for a regular win - 2 points for an overtime win - 1 point for a tie (shootouts eliminated) or an overtime loss I’m not sure if it’s ideal, but it seems better to me than the current system.

@RonoAnalyst People forget how awful it was before they made the change to shootouts with games ending in a tie. In 2009, 15% of games ended in a tie. Last year, 5.9% ended in a tie 5,700+ Ties in the 87 years before shootouts 2,500 shootouts since the rule change 20 years ago

@RonoAnalyst Is overtime still 3 on 3? And is it still only 5 minutes? With these rules you revert back to why they made the change in the first place... to many games ended in a tie Ties do nothing, both teams cant just get a point each tie. Every team will play for 1 pt then

@RonoAnalyst Terrible take. Your top 10 teams with most overtime games are all playoff games. All with 22 OT games or more. Flyers have 27 (3rd most) and LA leads with 31 Good teams win regardless if it is regulation, OT or shootout

@Cackalacman Is every tournament going to check every ball of every golfer every round? I can almost guarantee we are going to see people "accidentially" using old balls. Some will probably go unnoticed

This doesn’t change one thing about my game. I’m not the only one. So what’s the point? This is still the most stupid thing a bunch of old white dudes have come up with in the last 100yrs. Every engineer should be fired for taking the R&D money for this garbage.

For the first time, @GolfDigest was granted the opportunity to test two versions of prototype balls conforming to the USGA and R&A's testing standards. How much distance could golfers from 75 to 125 mph stand to lose? We have your answers. golfdigest.com/story/how-much…

@flushingitgolf Interesting take. So the athlete determines the club... hence why Bryson plays a 25 degree 7 iron? He's not chasing distance? Do all high speed players deloft their clubs so much?

Bryson DeChambeau, Paul Casey and Anirban Lahiri have a very interesting opinion on golf club technology and the rollback. Bryson believes that drivers haven’t changed much since 2009 and the improvements are more to do with athletic ability. Paul Casey agreed with that and said there isn’t enough credit given to the athlete. And Anirban Lahiri said that golf course design has played a big factor. Bryson then followed up by questioning what the governing bodies are actually trying to achieve with a roll back and laid out what his goals are for the game. I found this 3 minute clip fascinating and it’s definitely worth a watch to understand the thoughts of the elite pros when it comes to this issue.

@RiggsBarstool NHL and olympics should go to format where it starts 5on5, but every 5 min one player from each side is removed. So 3on3 doesnt behind until you had 5 minutes of 5on5 and 5 minutes of 4on4. Players removed on closest stoppage to 5min

Hot take, I don’t think 3 on 3 is as gimmicky as people think. These guys play 3 on 3 all the time. Over 20% of NHL games go to overtime. That’s 15+ games a year they play this. They know the strategy, the risk, the plays. It’s not the same as 5 on 5 obviously but it’s not some random BS out of nowhere. They practice and prepare for this.

My take on the Harper/Dombrowski situation. I understand what Dombrowski was trying to say. It was a down year, but only by Harper’s standards. He is still a top tier player in this league. On the other hand, Dombrowski has done nothing to protect Harper over the last three seasons. Part of his production dip can be directly attributed to Dombrowski’s failure to adequately fill that gap in the lineup. You can’t come out and tell a player he’s no longer elite and then do absolutely nothing to help him succeed.

Crazy idea I never thought I'd have as an Eagles fan... but I'd think about trading Jalen Carter (value unknown) 1. Next contract will be HUGE 2. Jordan Davis is the leader of D (& ELITE player) 3. Moro Ojomo is young & talented 4. Immaturity issues 5. Shoulder injury scares me

@Devan_Kaney @BussinWTB Off-seasons in pro sports are no different than sitcoms or reality TV shows. The sad part is... the sport version gets worse by the day. The actual sitcoms and reality shows get better 🤣

My takeaways from Bryce Harper on @BussinWTB: - knew that it would be a big story coming into spring training, still doubled down on stance (I’m ok w this) - really love that he takes full accountability for his play, “if you want to blame somebody [for postseason], blame me.” - says he has a good relationship with Dombrowski, seems more hurt than anything that Dombrowski went through media instead of coming to him

My first job was stocking shelves at Kroger. Very comparable to a McDonald’s cashier. I made $5.25 an hour. Within a day I realized I had better work my ass off to make something out of myself because I wanted more out of life. It takes no skill to take an order at McDonald’s, stop trying to pretend like it does.
daz@MetamateDaz

Yes, a cashier at McDonalds SHOULD be able to afford rent, groceries, & bills on just that 1 paycheque alone. THAT'S WHAT JOBS ARE FOR.
