Kids are owning the learning and making connections.

Groups ideas to the other groups. The groups then went back and discussed and improved their answers. They then went on to complete a graphic organizer that lists the impacts on aboriginal people and propose solutions to move forward in a positive way.

Today, we are working on part 1 of learning how a county’s legacy continues to impact its people. Specifically, we’re learning about the treatment of indigenous ppl in Australia and the impact that still has on them today. The kids did a great job of working together! #nmbmchiefs

Students are taking on the role of curators to create a museum exhibit that allows them to showcase the cultural heritage of their chosen country. They’ve been learning about this country all year and are preparing this project as part of their final portfolio. #pbl #nmbmchiefs
