Riding a player into the stanchion, reverse checks that hit heads, shooting pucks at opp benches or at players after the whistle, cross checks to kidneys in-front of the net. Just cause it’s legal to hit a vulnerable player doesn’t mean it’s not cheap.

Benson is eligible to be checked for ~0.6 seconds (I'm pretty sure this was the number) after releasing the puck.

McNabb wasn’t in the initial play as he had just come off the bench and drills him a second or 2 after he shoots. Lindros and Kariya lost their careers to cheap shots like this.

@WatchMyReview Issue is he’s the top FA in a thin market and plays RW. No one in the league will be doing the Leafs a favour by giving them a top 6F for their minimal assets. His signing is the results of a thin market, poor asset management and a desire not to rebuild not him being perfect.

We are going to try hard to sign Alex Tuch for a massive contract while Buffalo will let him go because they are so deep with talent they can't find room for him. Tuch has the exact "Style" that will appeal to Toronto. Interestingly enough, his playoff numbers are worse than Matthews, Tavares, Nylander. But Edna will hear Tuch plays that style that helps you win. He's 30 next year. He'll want 7 years

@WatchMyReview @markr295 Joshua, Domi are issues. Giving Maccelli over 4M is also an issue. All 3 were offered at the deadline and are still here. Maccelli is the best of the 3, but running it back with all of them is repeating the same mistakes. Leafs need a top 6 and 9 RW and top 4 RHD.

Very interesting question. I am never married to the concept of an irreplaceable person, but I do believe ideas are harder to replace. My problem with Dubas and Keefe getting fired is the 180 degree change in ideology, to the team’s detriment. I wish we never changed our ideology
