🚨AI Portfolio - Series Update🚨
What a wild ride this market has been...
If you're new to this series, I started this portfolio on March 5th concentrated entirely on semiconductor and electronics supply chain companies.
The picks were $AMKR, $PLAB, $CLS, $ASX, $FN, and $ONTO.
Every single one of these names ran up between 28% and 50% since I initiated my positions.
I added fresh capital to the portfolio recently which brought my true YTD gain down from roughly 45%, but the underlying performance speaks for itself.
I trimmed all my original positions today and added two new names: $FLEX and $COHU.
I went in with significantly more size into $FLEX because I believe it still has not had the same re-rating my other picks already experienced. Here is why:
1. $FLEX is building AI data centers alongside NVIDIA and Amazon yet trades at a P/S of 0.48x while its closest competitor $CLS trades at 3.4x for essentially the same work, and generated over $1 billion in free cash flow last year.
2. Vanguard increased their position by 196% last quarter and BlackRock added 16%. That is about as loud an institutional signal as you can get.
3. The Amazon commercial agreement is still in its early stages and has not yet reached its full revenue potential. Meaning every analyst model currently covering this stock is underestimating forward earnings before that program even gets priced in.
4. $FLEX is trading at 8.4x EV/EBITDA, essentially the same multiple it traded at three years ago when it was a slower, less profitable, less AI-exposed business with no NVIDIA partnership and no Amazon deal. The market has not re-rated it at all despite the fundamental transformation.
This whole experiment has shown me the power of doing real deep research into a sector before the masses catch on.
AI is only getting started.
Those who recognize that the greatest technological revolution in history is happening right in front of us, and that we will likely never get another opportunity like this, are going to win big.
