The 1st A321 XLR for @AirCanada C-GXLR did its double rto-test today at @Airbus Hamburg. Air Canada has a total order of 30 XLR and announced Montréal to Palma de Mallorca as its first brand new route to be operated by its Airbus A321 extra-long range (XLR) aircraft starting in June 2026. The A321XLR is the first narrow-body in Air Canada’s fleet that will feature lie-flat seats in the Business Class cabin, bringing a wide-body experience on a narrow-body jet. It will accommodate 182 passengers in a configuration of 14 Signature Class seats and 168 Economy Class seats.

Le nouveau PDG de Qatar Airways, Hamad Al-Khater, acte un net réchauffement des relations avec Airbus 🇶🇦✈️ Après plusieurs années de fortes tensions entre la compagnie du Golfe et le constructeur européen, le climat semble désormais apaisé. Peu après sa prise de fonctions, Hamad Al-Khater a rencontré Guillaume Faury, PDG d’#Airbus, à Toulouse. Il a qualifié cet échange de « très positif » dans une interview accordée à Bloomberg. Pour rappel, les relations s’étaient fortement détériorées en 2022 à la suite d’un différend sur des problèmes de peinture affectant l’A350, un conflit qui avait conduit Airbus à annuler des commandes d’A321. Un accord trouvé en 2023 avait permis de tourner la page et de rétablir les commandes de #QatarAirways. Aujourd’hui, les deux groupes semblent engagés dans une dynamique beaucoup plus constructive.

Well I wasn’t expecting that? Over two thousand messages from fantastic people all around the world, everyone has been amazing. But the most amazing people have been the ICU & Recovery nurses and Doctors. I cannot thank everyone enough including my immediate family, friends, Members and Subscribers. I should be back at base camp in the next three to five days and slowly but surely I’ll be getting back in the seat.
