It was just a question of time, until the first #A380 would appear beside a road in Thailand as a restaurant/café or night-market attraction. HS-TUE (msn 125) was delivered in October 2013 to Thai Airways and was less than 7 years in service before grounded during Covid in April 2020. After years in storage at U-Tapao (UTP) it was dismantled in November 2025 and re-assembled in Rayong. Definitely worth a visit!

The 1st A321 XLR for @AirCanada C-GXLR did its double rto-test today at @Airbus Hamburg. Air Canada has a total order of 30 XLR and announced Montréal to Palma de Mallorca as its first brand new route to be operated by its Airbus A321 extra-long range (XLR) aircraft starting in June 2026. The A321XLR is the first narrow-body in Air Canada’s fleet that will feature lie-flat seats in the Business Class cabin, bringing a wide-body experience on a narrow-body jet. It will accommodate 182 passengers in a configuration of 14 Signature Class seats and 168 Economy Class seats.

New airline in Germany is AIR UNIQON with two Dash 8 Q400 operated by @AvantiAir , D-AASH seen here today arriving at @HamburgAirport from Friedrichshafen Airport. Air Uniqon started operations on January 12th connecting Friedrichshafen with Düsseldorf, Berlin and Hamburg.

New kids in town, @ThaiVietjet has received the first eight Boeing 737 MAX 8 during November and December 2025 and is operating them to domestic destinations within Thailand currently. These are the first aircraft of an order of 50 MAX by @Vietjet_Global .

With the last light of the day, the first @ThaiAirways A321neo HS-TOA "Bowonrangsi" - now in full color with additional sticker "FIRST A321neo" - did its double rto-test today at Airbus Hamburg prior to first flight - delivery is expected around Christmas. Thai Airways has a total of 32 A321neo on order which are equipped with 16 full flat Business class seats and 159 Economy class seats.

After more than 4 years at @LHTechnik for overhaul and cabin fitting, the new Egypt Government VIP aircraft Boeing 747-830 SU-EGY has left @HamburgAirport this morning on delivery to Cairo... Built in 2011 and many years in storage in USA, the former Lufthansa D-ABYE not taken up aircraft arrived on 07.11.2021 at Hamburg and again on 21.09.2022 after a 3 week stay at Shannon for paint - it is now on its way to CAI.

the future Brunei Government Airbus A330-800 (neo) D-AAAR arrived at LHT Hamburg today from Toulouse for cabin fitting which will take 1,5 - 2 years...

First time at the @DubaiAirshow this year was COMAC with three aircraft, the C909 CBJ B-001X, the C919 B-658M Comac Express for the flying display and this new China Southern C919 B-658X with a 164 seat three class configuration (Business, Premium Economy and Economy), only three airlines are operating this aircraft so far, Air China, China Eastern and China Southern - great to see these aircraft at an airshow again (after the Singapore Airshow last February)...
