توسع العرب لا يقارن بتوسع الجرمان لأن الجرمان شعوب متعددة والعرب شعب واحد، (ومع ذلك الإنجليزي او الألماني لو بيجي يتكلم على اساس جرماني فهو لا ينكر ان الجرمان كهوية جامعة امتداد للموطن الأصلي) توسع العرب كفرع سامي يقارن بتوسع الفروع الجرمانية الأخرى مثل الإنجليز والفرنسيين، والتشبيه التمثيلي يكون على هذا المبدأ.
