One of the challenges in trying to determine the level of carbon dioxide (CO2) is the fact that outside levels of CO2 are not static. Here is a brief 🧵 on using a common resource. 1/7 earth.nullschool.net will take you to a screen something like this.

I bought one of those Aranet CO2 monitors, recommended by @caesararum among others, and started bothering the whole family about improving ventilation. Then my son needed a school science project idea, and we had an idea ready to go. Almost embarrassed at how easy they make it.

Got a meeting with our State Health Director next week to talk about Clean Indoor Air. I will highlight the measures we have taken at @ApricotTreeCaf1 while I owned the place. Any pointers you may have are much appreciated.

Ever wonder how far cooking activities affect air quality in your home? 🍽️ On Christmas Eve, while enjoying a delicious raclette dinner on the main floor, my co2.click Model G air quality sensor—located in my basement office—picked up a noticeable PM spike. This graph from the cloud portal shows the particulate matter (PM) levels rising sharply during the meal. The spike is a perfect example of how even distant cooking can influence indoor air quality throughout the home. Having sensors like the Model G in various areas helps create a full picture of your indoor air environment, so you can take steps to manage ventilation or filtration. It's fascinating what our air can reveal! 🌟 #AirQuality #SmartHome #co2click #IndoorAir #TechForGood

Hey all, what's the latest people like insofar as particulate meters? I KEEP waffling between purple air and the others. I'd really like one that shows numbers.

Gas stoves raise CO2 dramatically. Just 15min of cooking (boiling one pot), and CO2 in raised to the sky! (Disclaimer: I still need to sort the ventilation issues in this flat - it exists, but it’s weak, even with an open window) @Co2Review @IndianaTux

I too find it truly baffling the cognitive dissonance in light of so much scientific evidence….worth a read ⬇️

#CovidIsNotOver This is my 15th semester teaching RN and NP students about Covid 19 pathophysiology. Not a lot has changed except for how much damage we now know the virus causes. It still baffles me that people don’t know it’s airborne, don’t know the risks. 1

Don't let anyone tell you the #AirQuality in a #plane is just fine. Our #Aranet was between 1700 and 1900 for 2.5 hours The woman coughing every 2 minutes was most definitely spreading her germs in this high #CO2 environment. Hope our Aura masks kept us safe.

@citlanx @aranet_home @YouAreLobbyLud And that round thing on the wall looks like an analog clock, complete with big hand, little hand and a sweep second hand. Do today’s students know how to interpret them?

I Spy! 1. Can you name the calculator on the desk? (It will date me!) 2. Modern piece of equipment almost out of the frame. Can you see it? Students take images during the lab to strengthen their lab reports. They list the folder or images w/tinyURLs in their lab notebook.

A few weeks ago I took a small funeral with only a few mourners, but one of them was an elderly lady wearing a quality respirator and it looked like she had sat herself on purpose by the open window and the draft blowing through it.
