Look, I was there like all of you during the Corbyn years and remember how painful the antisemitism smears were; I’ve even had them myself many many times. But @ZackPolanski has clearly had a political journey. He’s now one of the most outspoken voices on the genocide he has attacked the false weaponising of antisemitism and conflation with anti-Zionism I’d rather have leaders who learn and change — who are in other words human — than anything otherwise. Wouldn’t you?

one lesson that very much needs to be learnt from brexit (but will not be) is that patronising or insulting big parts of the electorate, tarring them as racists or bigots with no real attempt to understand the driving forces behind their votes is a recipe for electoral disaster
