I dislike theater in politics; the move to try an impeach governor @GovTimWalz and AG @keithellison was not the move that needed to happen (leave Ellison alone, he came back, Omar stayed $$$). It had already failed when whoever moved forward. Walz and Ellison are not the problems, i.e.- Minnesota has built a government structure where: -Accountability is episodic, not continuous -Audits identify problems, but enforcement is weak -Agencies operate in silos with unclear authority lines -Leadership changes, but systems remain untouched The state is excellent at producing reports and terrible at institutionalizing change. Minnesota doesn’t need a political spectacle. It needs structural reform: -Mandatory enforcement mechanisms tied to audit findings -Clear lines of authority across agencies -Real consequences for repeated noncompliance -Independent oversight with teeth, not just reports -Modernized financial and IT systems that actually integrate - A new commissioner for MDE That’s harder than calling for impeachment. It requires confronting decades of accumulated inefficiency and political convenience. I would love a fixing job like this. I see the big picture. @DonAllen02
