The vicious knife attack in north Belfast was depraved. I commend those who acted with courage and selflessness to save the victim’s life. The perpetrator must face the full weight of the law. The racist violence of masked Loyalists who burned families out of their homes echoes the pogroms against nationalist families in 1969.
