Detection & enforcement: We have a zero-tolerance policy around cheating. We’re actively banning confirmed cheaters and expanding our telemetry and detection methods to better catch the aforementioned cheaters. Some of this work is live already, and more improvements will roll out over the coming weeks. Anti-cheat is a continuous cycle of monitoring, improving, and responding. This is an area that we will continue to invest in to protect the integrity of your runs. Reporting tools: We’re iterating on reporting for both cheating and toxic behavior: ➡️ Making it easier to flag suspected cheaters in-game and via our web tools. ➡️ Improving how you report harassment and other Code of Conduct violations. ➡️ Exploring in‑game mailbox messages so that when a report you filed leads to action, we can follow-up and let you know. Voice & comms: Longer term, we’re investing in better voice chat moderation tools to help us more reliably act on repeat abusers in proximity and team chat, alongside the tools provided by each platform. Stream sniping: We know stream sniping is a real pain point, especially in Ranked. We’re working with our Trust & Safety and design teams on better in-game protections, like name privacy options. Marathon DESPERATELY needs a gear refund system when you run into cheaters + a more intuitive report system. I shouldn't have to go back to main menu, open up recent players, find the person that cheated and then report. There should be a report option as soon as you die. These accounts are level 150+ just cheating the whole day.

ANOTHER MARATHON HOT TAKE: Base Knife doesnt need a nerf. It is the great equalizer. It should be able to kill a purple shield in three swings - ESPECIALLY with all three arachne upgrades. Just because you have purple kit doesnt mean you should be exempt from the fear of a knife! I lost 2 20k kits to free kits last night. Thats part of the game! I was careless and didnt check both corners. Yes it sucks. Yes I was pissed for well over 30 min. BUT ITS ON ME! ITS A SKILL ISSUE! BASE KNIFE ISNT THE ISSUE! Now I havent played around with enough mods to see how affective the knife can be on like Destroyer. But knife should be strong no matter what. If you cant kill a free kit knifer with purple kit you have positioned wrong and you deserve to die

How Is Marathon Doing? 👀

Not trying to be dramatic here but cheating legitimately murders extraction shooters and if Bungie doesn’t do something soon I’m not sure if the game will ever fully recover. Nothing makes someone never want to touch a game again than loading into a match with your absolute JUICE from your vault just to immediately die to cheaters and lose it forever
