@greg16676935420 Because it there Greg, same reason why people climb Everest or go to the bottom of the sea, It is what maintains the hope that there is something beyond the dreadful existence of this awful site.

@pranshuuuuuuuu @fjlopezm11 @NASA Thats the part were the passenger will probably write Pan Am or United

Hi, @NASA,
Is there a protocol regarding passports when returning to earth?
Thanks so much.

@xAviation Production wasn’t really that limited, it sold more than the 707, 727, 757 and 767 and the sold for between 3 times and 5 times the price of those planes. In the 90s it was a cash cow for Boeing.
English

Crazy how one of the most iconic and instantly recognizable aircraft ever had relatively limited production...
Boeing 747 saw just 1,574 built over a 54-year run (1968–2022) — and yet it defined aviation for generations.
The 747-400 remains the most iconic variant, thanks to its classic design and perfectly balanced proportions.
English

@PrincepsPinat The 367-80 designation only applied to the demonstrator (prototype) aircraft. The internal designation for all C-135/KC-135 is 717.

@petem127 @stephenehorn Western‑backed dictatorships didn’t happen to just one nation. Many countries lived it and still pushed past it. Btw the DR isn’t some “good little country.” Little are the people who judge it without knowing its history.
English

@FCaroM @stephenehorn True the DR has been a good little country for western powers so you get all the beautiful tourist infrastructure for all the white tourists while Haiti got brutal dictatorships installed by the US gov for daring to have self determination.
English

Remember when the Haitian revolutionaries genocided the white population?
I guess the Dominicans do

@nypost I’m not sure whether that article was written by a person or by AI, but it was nor well written. It did a very poor job of explaining what happened.

Texas oil heir Charles Brooks Jr. ordered to pay historic $1.1B after brutally attacking toddler stepson, putting him in wheelchair trib.al/e9KVbMD

@Boneyardsafari The Big E also had more of a cruiser type hull, her 4 rudders and 8 reactors definitely made her a unique ship. Her true top speed still not known to the wider public.
English

@UnwantedBlog Even if Douglas had delivered the B-19 on time it wouldn’t have made any difference. Boeing knew this with the B-15, thats why on the B-17 they use the power of the engines, not for size, but for speed, payload and altitude. Thats why the B-17 was so revolutionary.
English

The XB-19 was a giant of a plane, but impressively obsolete by the time it flew. Had it been put into service enemy fighters would have turned it into mincemeat as its range was relatively low when loaded with ordnance and its service ceiling a mere 23K ft.
Aviation Archive - Tim Farmer@aviationarchive
On June 27, 1941, the Douglas XB-19 took its first flight as the largest bomber in the world. This giant had a 212ft wingspan, stretched 132ft long, hit a max takeoff weight of 162,000 pounds, could haul 36,000lbs of bombs over a 5,200-mile range. One 1 built, retired in 1946.
English

@petem127 @stephenehorn Something the DR wasn’t involved at all, but they’ve been trying to stick us with the bill ever since. They invaded the DR, the DR has never set its foot on Haiti.
English

@stephenehorn Remember how the French forced Haiti to pay $560 million as “reparations” for lost slaves and land, crippling the Haitian economy for more than a century? & how Haiti had to take loans w French banks to pay for it, saddling Haiti with immense interest payments?
English

@clark_aviation It looks like a 1959 version of the F-16. The GD entry with its blended wings/fuselage looked much more modern. Also the placement of the landing gear would limit the amount of stores it could carry.
English

@airlinerslive Yess, and alternate it with a VC10 a Comet 4 and a Viscount.
English

@aircrewtv The camouflage of the bottom Jaguar its doing its job pretty well.
English

@Boneyardsafari It looks like an FJ4B and the carrier a modernized Essex, the only Essexes that carried them were the Hancock, Bennington and Ticonderoga.
English

Here is a Fury being launched off an aircraft carrier, can you identify the flat top? #aircraftcarrier #boneyardsafari #aviationsafari

English

@CapHornier_ They weren’t that small, they were around the same size as the Essexes, now the Colossus and Majestics were small
