@ShimazuSystems Z is depth as its a natural extension to the mathematical cartesian system as represented on paper. In CAD I really do not care, more about front, top, and side planes.

Easily explained with a lot of people: The top one is made up of gamedevs and artists who use engines like Unity/Unreal & Blender The bottom is mostly CAD users. Y as up makes sense in a game engine, they're not plotting where a machine needs to go on an X/Y 2-axis
