I use AI when I can't find artists or coders. But I definitely prefer to use art as my final product. If it's for something important like my business, I will always use a real artist. If it's for something stupid like my Twitter profile, I don't give a fuck lol. I have tried to find a coder to code what I need for DaVinci resolve for. I don't know 5 months now and they all want over $1,000. I just created what I wanted with AI in less than a month... And it works... For 20 bucks...

“I use generative AI because I’m too broke to afford art” But there’s literally thousands of artists EVERYWHERE that can do amazing art for under $20… even less if they are just starting out doing commissions. Just because you’re too lazy to save up the money to pay a real artist doesn’t mean you can justify using AI for art. Simple as that. 🤷‍♀️

Important new study by two men from Oxford University explodes the “trans vulnerability myth.” Trans identified individuals are more likely to be PERPETRATORS of crimes rather than victims!

New Microsoft paper shows that current AI assistants often damage documents during long editing jobs. Even the frontier models still ended up corrupting about 25% of document content on average, while many other models damaged far more. The problem is that delegated AI work only makes sense if a model can keep a document correct across many edits, not just do 1 step well. The paper tests this with reversible task pairs, where a model edits a file and then tries to undo that edit, so a reliable system should return to the original document. The authors built real work setups across 52 domains, from coding and science to accounting and music notation, and ran 19 models through 20 editing interactions. The failures were usually not lots of tiny slips but occasional big mistakes that silently broke parts of the document and then compounded over time. Agentic tool use did not help in their tests, and bigger files, longer workflows, and irrelevant extra documents made the corruption worse. The reason this matters is that current LLMs can look strong in short demos or narrow coding tasks yet still be unreliable delegates for long real-world document work. ---- Paper Link – arxiv. org/abs/2604.15597 Paper Title: "LLMs Corrupt Your Documents When You Delegate"

Today’s Supreme Court decision effectively guts a key pillar of the Voting Rights Act, freeing state legislatures to gerrymander legislative districts to systematically dilute and weaken the voting power of racial minorities - so long as they do it under the guise of “partisanship” rather than explicit “racial bias.” And it serves as just one more example of how a majority of the current Court seems intent on abandoning its vital role in ensuring equal participation in our democracy and protecting the rights of minority groups against majority overreach. The good news is that such setbacks can be overcome. But that will only happen if citizens across the country who cherish our democratic ideals continue to mobilize and vote in record numbers - not just in the upcoming midterms or in high profile races, but in every election and every level.

@GamingKittyKit Nope, criminal prosecutions already require independent evidence, this bill simply establishes a pre-trial where cases that have only art as evidence are deemed frivolous, saving everyone valuable time and money.

This bill could change everything for American Creators and our Freedom of Expression, but it has gotten so little attention. H.R. 4678 The Restoring Artistic Protection Act, introduced by Rep. Hank Johnson (D-GA), would create a strong legal presumption that creative works cannot be used as evidence in federal criminal or civil cases. It covers all creative expression, including: • Video Games • Comics & Animation • Movies & TV Shows • Books & Literature • Visual Art & Scripts Fictional storylines, characters, dialogue, artwork, and gameplay would be presumed inadmissible. Prosecutors could only overcome this with a pretrial hearing and clear and convincing evidence that it’s directly relevant, not just character assassination. No more treating art as confession. This would give game devs, comic artists, animators, and filmmakers real breathing room to create bold, edgy, and unfiltered content without lawsuit chill. It currently has 21 Democrat cosponsors, but something this important needs bipartisan support and hearings in Judiciary. Similar protections have already passed in Georgia, Louisiana, and Missouri with Republican backing. After 15+ years, Americans are tired of watching their sanitized culture wither away while other countries continue to make great works for the world to enjoy, we want to have pride in the art that our country produces, and it is high time that American creators were able to build freely and without fear again. @JudiciaryGOP @Jim_Jordan @RepThomasMassie @RepChipRoy @RepAndyBiggsAZ @RepMcClintock @RepTroyNehls @repdarrellissa

a few days ago i was talking on priv how dangerous this case was going to be for creatives, people have used d4vd's art as a point of evidence, even though his lyrics are honestly generic. there's 40 TB of evidence, trust, an edgy song is not strong evidence to prosecute him.

@GamingKittyKit @Gaigous Bruh come on let's use at least one brain cell here the problem isn't his garbage music, the problem is he ACTUALLY went out there and actually killed somebody. Using music as evidence he did it is dumb unless they already have something more tangible like his DNA at the scene.

Everyone in this comment section just shows that you guys have no reading comprehension. OP by no means said that they are defending this David Guy because he is literal bottom of the barrel trash. Nobody has a problem that this is what they’re potentially pursuing in California. The issue is that similar crimes from pedophiles have taken place with consequences not even like this, and if that’s the case, then every single one of them needs to have the same consequence that he’s about to have. Simple. Fuck David. Fuck pedophiles and rapists. Stop trynna be obtuse reading into OPs post when they’re clearly pointing out we need to have clear and consistent consequences for these people NO MATTER what they look like. Stop acting like systematic racism isn’t a thing and stop acting like WHITE PRIVILEGE doesn’t exist even in systems like our justice/government. And the likes the idiotic comments have garnered…this app is such a bubble. People will read this and say “so you’re defending David?” LMFAO Mind you, death penalty is too easy for him anyway, he deserves to suffer in agony , just like Celeste, he deserves worse. Death is too easy of a cop out.
